Bang for your buck!
PROS: - 12" Clestion "special design" full range flat response (FRFR) speaker - 100 watt - connectivity (Bluetooth audio, USB, stereo XLR & effect loop) - intuitive user interface and operation both in amp and thru app - seamless operation/sync via app - full featured on amp (i.e. app doesn't add features) - one of the best if not the best foot switch included with amp - lightweight (at around 22 lbs it weights about the same as my 8"/5-watt Fender Vibro Champ XD) - lots of customizable effects, amps, cabs - WiFi for easy firmware updates - cloud backups, community patches - best tuner I've ever had in terms on terms if accuracy and stability - 60 second looper - includes famous Fender amps/cabs models as well as other known brands CONS: - nothing major in my opinion really - out of the box most the presets need to adjusted for my taste one way or another (having too much bass in most cases) but thankfully it's highly customizable - only 10 empty slots for patches but you can modify existing presets however you want Love this amp! the CONS are not even that bad. But you need to understand what it is you're getting. This is a digital modeling amp so don't expect the same tone and sound characteristics compared to the gear it is attempting to imitate. I would however, consider this assortment of gears modeled a good basis for what to expect out of the real equipment in terms of sound and feature set (meaning, is it a high gain amp, how knob settings interact, or just compare one amp to another). Yes, it models limited functionality and the sound is a bit off but come on, this is a $500 amp trying to sound like 10's of 1000's of dollars worth of legendary amps. This is more of a swiss army knife of an amp, I'd say it's mostly for intermediate practice, recording on your PC, but it's high enough power that could do small gigs. It's just a fun amp! I left beginners out just because learning the instrument could easily take a back seat to all the features and effects you can mess with. With the Bluetooth audio you can stream your favorite song and play over it and it sounds great since it's a FRFR speaker. The foot switch allows you to scroll thru the presets, or it lets you use it as a stomp switch to individually control the first 5 effects in the chain within each preset. With the exception of wah, cry baby or other expression pedals, there is not much need to invest in multi effects with this amp. So, unless you have the extra dollars, know exactly what tone you are looking for and are willing to live with that one tone offered by a particular unit then this is a very flexible, versatile and cost effective.

One of the best amps out there. Period.
Bought the Fender Mustang GTX-100 back when it was on sale for $374.99 (nearly down to the same price as the GTX-50). Definitely a great sounding amp that comes with 189 built in presets and 11 spots left blank to customize from the ground up to be saved as a preset (and any of the 189 Presets can be easily edited or deleted to make room for more spots to customize presets). In my opinion at least half of the built in presets have at least a little something to offer, but there's plenty of lackluster presets as well though but no worries you'll be able to delete all of them and replace them with a custom preset (or presets that are easily downloadable in the Fender Tone app). About half of my presets are the built in ones (though a lot have been heavily modified), around 40% or so are presets I downloaded the other 10% are presets I customized starting from nothing. Also the GTX-100 comes with a GTX-7 foot pedal which can swap between presets, tune your guitar, disable / enable certain effects on a selected preset and (in my opinion) most importantly, is a looper pedal. And obviously this 100 watt 12 inch speaker can get very VERY loud but is also a perfectly fine amp for playing at low volumes in the bedroom. Certainly loud enough to play live shows with no problem. Also a very good amp for recording also, you can connect this amp straight to your pc to directly record. All in all no complaints. I'd even recommend it not on sale with an MSRP of $499.99. I can't imagine any amp out there being anywhere near as good as this one even if you had unlimited money to choose any amp in the world I'd still recommend this one right here over any $1000-$3000 amp they simply aren't as versatile as the GTX-100 ( / GTX-50). Can produce just about any tone imaginable. Pair it with a decent guitar (or not, this amp even makes cheap LQ guitars sound stellar) and you've got a setup to last you a lifetime. No need to worry about cabinets or pedals / pedalboards, this amp has dozens upon dozens of digital pedals and cabinets built right in (even has close to 40 amps to choose from as well). So all in all for $500 you're getting nearly 40 amps, nearly 40 cabinets and lord knows how many pedals (well over 40) all included inside one amp. And (for it's size) it's not too terribly heavy so it's really not too troublesome to transport. Definitely highly recommend to just about anyone who plays the electric guitar in any capacity.

Everything you'll need in one package...
I got my GTX100 in last week, and I've had a few hours to sit down and play with it. This amp is great. The single 12" driver inside the cabinet moves more air than expected. This amp isn't very large, but it's VERY loud. In fact, I have to keep it dialed back most of the way just to keep it at a reasonable level. I've been drumming since I was a child, and recently I switched over to digital drums to alleviate the noise caused by playing an acoustic drumset. This GTX100 would have absolutely overpowered my former drumset if one chose to "gig" with it. It may not be an "arena" amp (But that's what PA's are for), but it will do for home, studio and club-sized venues. It's all the noise you need from beginner to even advanced playing. About the features. 185 pre-programmed presets came upon arrival. I filled the remaining 15 slots with "custom tones" from the Fender Tone3.0 app. This amp has so many tones and pedals built in you can get most any tone you're looking for without any need for additional pedals. Though, with the stereo input / output jacks on that back you CAN add more if you have pedals you like and want to use with it. I've always been a bit of an audio/tone nerd, and this unit keeps me busy and happy just with what is on-board. And the looper is a really fun touch to have for just fooling around at home. I've not tried every amp out there (who has?), but now that I have this, I won't be trying any others. There's no need. I can get more than I'd ever want out of this unit. If you tried the old "LT" line of Mustang amps, this is beyond better and worth the upgrade. The ONLY criticism I have of the unit is the Tone3.0 app. The old "LT" mustang amps could USB into your PC and you could control the amp and it settings from your desktop / laptop PC. This new tone3.0 app cannot connect to PC. It ONLY connects to Android / Apple products (so phones and tablets). Which isn't horrible, but I preferred the old PC interface rather than having to mess with my phone / tablet. I hope they change that, but I doubt they will since so many seem to like phone/tablet integration over PC (so it's just an issue with how I prefer to use it, not that the app itself is "bad"). Beyond that? Watch some video reviews if you're still on the fence. The unit is absolutely worth picking up if you can spare the money on a new piece of gear.

Impressive amplifier
Bought this amp to use with my Fender American Professional. It's a very impressive amp, with plenty of power. It has so many amplifiers to choose from, and does a great job modeling the sound of the original amp in the program. I think if you're a purists you may hear the difference between the original amp and the amp this amp is modeling, but I don't think an audience could tell if you're using this for live performances. Plus, your not stuck with only one amp , you can explore so many different sounds it can almost be overwhelming, in a good way. This amp comes with a foot pedal which is nice. It's metal and seems to be very sturdy. The 50 watt doesn't come with the foot pedal, so if you want this one it'll cost you extra. I think it's way more than you would need if you're playing in small venues or in your home. I have it in my music studio and 1/4 volume is pretty loud.I've been playing guitar for many years and wish I'd had an amp like this when I was gigging. I love it! Also, it doesn't come with a cover, but I found one through another vendor because Amazon didn't have the right one at the time.

All The Bells and Whistles
Bought this as Christmas gift for my daughter and she absolutely loves it! I am not musically inclined but the way she explained it was that it comes with a ton of features and she can control the amp from her cell phone. Also she loves that fact she no longer has to purchase multiple pedals. It has all the different pedal sounds available within the software. We'll worth the purchase

Good for small gigs
Great amp for practice or small gigs. Almost overwhelming number of voicings but it’s great you can create your own and access them quickly. Love the built in looper, too. The WiFi/Bluetooth connectivity is nice but a little glitchy if you aren’t careful. This or the Katana? A toss up.

Lots of bang for the buck
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I chose this amplifier after much thought, research, and examining my own needs. The reviews have been, for the most part, outstanding. The brand name had something to do with my choice as well. Power: GTX100 @100 Watts is more than what I expected as far as power goes. From way back (late 60's - early 70's) I've used other amplifiers of similar wattage. My expectations for this amp was colored by my experiences in the late 60's. I'm very happy to report that technology has improved, and 100 watts in 2025 sounds more powerful than 100 watts did back then. Plenty of POWER, and more than I expected. Clarity: I've only had this amp a little less than 2 weeks now, so I'll have to get back to ya on Clarity. Build quality: It's a Fender, well built, good looking, sturdy, and functional. Good job. Delay quality: No opinion yet. Size: The size is smaller than one would expect from the amount of sound that emerges from the single speaker! It's easy enough to tote around, and powerful enough for outdoor gigs. Noise level: So far, I have not heard any "noise" coming from this amplifier.

Great Amp, But Not for Me
This amp sounds really great. Astonishing what you can get out of a small box. The presets are really great - if you go for that sort of thing. Not that important to me. The Bluetooth and WiFi issues are inexcusable and should never make it out the door. I own a 1972 Twin Reverb and am gigging again. The damn thing is really heavy and I'm weary of porting that around, especially tearing down at 1AM, right? I've been on a search for a more portable amp that still gets me the projection I need for performing. This amp isn't for me though: I can't see the control panel at all from my place on stage, or sitting down while playing at home. Who mounts the essentials where you can't see them? Lots of brands do, I guess. I also don't want my phone mounted on a mic stand to control the amp and for performing. It's just more complicated than what I want to mess with. Yeah, yeah, yeah - I know I could customize my presets in order of the set list, or dicker with it in many ways to use the presets, or make my own. I'm just more comfortable with my pedal board where I can see what's on or off and a control panel on my amp that I can see. You might LOVE this amp, but I didn't. The above was enough for me to pass, but the software and bluetooth connectivity issues gave this a thumbs down for me. The bluetooth/WIFI seems to make this amp prone to interference that did not happen on my Twin or the Champion I am trying out. An incoming text message knocked my connection and control over the amp right out until I cleared the text. Can't have this sh!1 happening on stage for Cripe's sake.

Great sound!
I bought this for my son as he has outgrown his Frontman 20. This thing rocks! From the different emulation to the foot pedal control, it is a beast. He is playing stuff I never dreamed he ever would with all the options and sounds spot on! Excellent amp.

Hasta ahora todo bien llevo una hora desde que lo abrí y lo estoy probando tenía mucha dudas que me fuera a tocar uno dañado o con un pedal que no sirve pero hasta ahora todo va bien veré en los ensayos y en vivo como se comporta
