This is a great addition for a 9th grade level of instruction! Please note that it doesn't contain an answer key, but if you took Latin you'll do just fine when it comes to grading.

I love this book- I didn’t purchase it intending to assist my high schooler with testing. I loved the extensive vocabulary words and the way the book is built. It’s a great way to increase your understanding and knowledge of words, and how to improve your speech. (Our teen with Asperger’s said she appreciated the structure of words and examples- she appreciates quality writing.) Great book!

Excellent learning aid for vocabulary
I bought this for supplemental summer instruction and for PSAT vocabulary practice for my kid over the summer. She enjoyed it and powered through it. It was a great learning aid, not too difficult but also not too easy. Great for extra practice and enrichment.

Not enough exercises
It's ok if your student or child does rote memorization. There is one multiple choice exercise at the end of the page and nothing else. These types of books are better suited for a motivated student who does well with memorization and does need any other type of learning engagement.

Great Book for Building SAT Vocabulary
I really like this book! The words are explained in a simple, clear way that makes them easy to remember. The short lessons don’t feel overwhelming, and I can already see my vocabulary improving. It’s a helpful and practical resource for anyone preparing for the SAT.

Would be better if there were more questions for each word
For me the format of the book is good but there is a lack of depth when it comes to actually testing the knowledge and usage of each word. There is about one test questions for each word. There should be a lot more ways of testing usage and memory of each word in order for learning to really take place.
