Came as a pack of 24. Size is about as long as my thumb and a bit wider. I bought them for plugging up one particular mouse hole. The hole is near the pipe for a radiator and this is an old house with floorboards and a gap underneath so I actually 'lost' quite a few of them as they fell down into the space beneath the floorboards. The first night after using some, the mouse evidently battled through them, so the next day I used even more, and left the last few protruding up from the hole. Then I used brown sticky parcel tape over the top to see if the mouse would still be able to get through - but it didn't. In the end I used about 17 of the 24 just to block up one hole but worth it. I was using these in conjunction with sonic mouse deterrent devices. I was pleased with this product.
