I previously had a folio cover for my sister ipad that would have worked perfectly if she hadn't decided to use it as a tray for her other stuff as she moved around the house. At first I was concerned that having no protection on the screen was going to be an issue, but that was solved with a wet apply screen protector. She likes using the handle to carry it and that solved the tray problem. The material is a foam substance that would hold up against a little rough treatment, but I wouldn't throw it to really test the thing out. This was not made for the Ipad 1st generation, but that is what she has and this was the style I thought would work best for her so I got it. this does fit but it is a little awkward and obvious that it was made for something a little thinner. I think adding a screen protector might have made the fit a little worse, but it was worth it. she did have a problem with not being able to see use the power button so I cut out a hole for that and the charging cord hole was off center because of the fit so i extended the hole there too. my x-acto had had an easy time this this, that being said, I wouldn't use it as a surface for arts and crafts. (silly thing to say but sometimes it looks better than risking your book and easier than digging through junk for some old cardboard) Short and Sweet PRO: good protection against daily traveling dangers stand/handle design perfect for convenience and comfort customizable (being able to easily allow for the older model to fit and work easily by adding easily cut holes) CON: easily cut-able (sort of a pro for me but but not for all) I sort of wish there was a pop on-and-off foam screen protector for extra protection when on the go. Great product! I will get again if she decides to get a newer model (i wouldn't need to have the holes i cut with a newer model so I would need to replace it)

This is the best iPad protector out there, as far as I'm concerned. It protected my iPad so well (that I let my 3 year old use), that I bought it again for my husbands old iPad that we let my 2 year old use. They have thrown the iPad off the couch, out of shopping carts at the store, as well as stepped on them, and sat on them (and my daughters 40 lbs), and not one scratch or break! I swear, these cases are indestructible! Also, the handle is a great design feature - easy for my kids (and myself) to carry. I've even been able to put the head rest through the handle hole so they iPads rest off the back of my drivers and front passengers chairs, as kind of a poor mans car DVD player!

UPDATE: Two years later, we still like it... other than the handle is well used so she can't use it to stand the ipad up... It always falls over, so she has to prop it up. This was 2 years of HEAVY use, so we are still happy with the purchase. The iPad has not had any damage with this cover on. We purchased this for our 5 year old's iPad to replace one that was not working well. It's awesome and she loves it! The case props up well and the handle is great. Our old case had a cover for the front, so I miss that a bit, but the ArmorBox's rim around the iPad keeps the face off the floor, so its protected somewhat. It takes a little time to get used to the location of the controls, but after a couple days, she could reach for them without looking. the charging port is covered by a cut out portion of the material which i like. Our child has used an ipad 2 since its come out and I would have used this one over our old one. great product!

This Ipad case is great. We spend a lot of time in the car, and I allow my daughter to watch shows. I needed a case that I could hang on her seat, while she's in a rear-facing car seat (there are a lot more options for forward facing). I bought one at The Container Store, and it lasted maybe 6 months b/f it totally fell apart. I decided to buy this case along with a luggage strap (about $6 on Amazon). I was able to use the luggage strap around the head rest of my van seat and weave it through the handle of this Ipad case so it stays in place. The Ipad hangs a little low, so my daughter can touch it with her feet, but I put on the Guided Access setting, so she can't change the app. I love how durable the case is, and how easy it is to carry around the Ipad. One of the only cons is the volume on the Ipad is a bit muffled when it's hanging on the seat, but it's not a big deal...it doesn't seem to bother my daughter at all...it just seems a little less loud to me.

The stand and handle on this case is amazing & my kids love that they can carry it around with a handle! It's a very nice color of pink & goes very well with the white iPad. On the down side - it's pretty bulky and rather awkward to transport without using the handle. It's also an awkward size for packing for trips. But, it was definitely the best case I could find that was durable and kid friendly. I don't have to worry if the iPad gets dropped or beat up a little bit. Overall, a very nice case for kids!!

This cover is so great, it is a spongy foam cover, its lightweight, great with a handle that doubles as a propstand, and the spongy material makes it non-slip on any surface like glass or granite. And... with a 2 year old in the house that drags everyone's stuff around and drops things frequently it has been perfect!! I ordered the screen protector too.. perfect! The cover does NOT block any of the ports for sound, buttons, camera, or charging.. so you do NOT have to remove it to do any functions. it has a small cover over the charging spot made of the same spongy material, that just pulls out to charge (stays attached) Great Cover!

Very good product, easy for kids to hold and provides great protection from tabletop falls etc. would be even better if the charging port cover didn't press the cord sideways but that is not enough to drop my rating
