Blew my expectations for the price
I was extremely impressed with quality of this device for under $10. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with an Otter box commuter case, and the phone fit perfectly still in the case. Like one reviewer mentioned, it fit so well I didn't think I needed to use the stretchy strap that came with it, but I noticed the phone slowly start to creep out after going over a couple of bumps and cracks in the road. Once I put the straps, the phone was secured tightly in place and it didn't even budge after some test bunny hops and large drop offs. Pros: Great build quality for the price Very adjustable for different size bars and can be installed with out tools Fit my giant Note 4 with it still in its case! Did not move or loosen it's grip on my phone even after taking a beating from bumps and jumps. Cons Like other reviews have said, the stretchy straps feel thin and cheap. I guess only time will tell (but on a good note is does come with 2 and again its under $10 bucks) Even though it is extremely adjustable, It would not go around the thickest part of my handle bars. Given that they are probably alot thicker then normal, I don't see this as a big problem, especially since i was able to mount it further down the bar where it was not as thick and the mount still held my heavy phone and didn't move. Final thoughts. Great product for the cost. Very sturdy and I never once was worried about my phone. I would buy this product again in a heart beat.

Mount won't keep phone in fixed position
Update 3/5/2017: After my original review (listed below) for which I gave the product 2 stars, the seller contacted me for a free replacement and reimbursement. She mentioned that I must have received a faulty product. Given that there was little downside, I accepted a replacement mount. The replacement mount works fine. I can tighten it enough by hand so that changing the angle of the mount takes a fair bit of effort. After I installed it on my bike, and took it out for a long ride, I can say that this mount works fine when installed on a bike. Hitting bumps and potholes no longer caused the mount to move. A tight mount, flexible mounting options (fits 25.4mm handlebars as well as most stems), an affordable price and a seller (Good Assistant) that was proactive in resolving the issue made me update the rating to five stars. I now recommend this product. Original review follows: The mount is made entirely from a hard plastic, except for the elastic band. It fits my phone, A Droid Turbo in a Diztronic protective case. I definitely needed to apply the elastic band, as the clamps itself wont hold the phone. I have installed it on my stem. I like it that the clamp allows the mount to be installed on your stem or handlebar as it be adjusted to accommodate various diameters. The main problem is that the nut that tightens the ball-joint cannot be tightened enough. Whenever I hit a bump on my bike, the phone moves, having me to readjust the angle of the mount. I can't recommend this product.

Solid mount for anything with bars, but limited range for angle adjustment
So I bought this primarily to use with mopeds from the 1970's and 80's so I could use my phone (iPhone 6S Plus w/ Otterbox commuter case) as a GPS/speedometer. Phone fits excellent and is very snug and secure, no concerns there at all. I am impressed with this mount and how sturdy it has been in the few times I have used it. The mopeds vibrate A LOT, but this mount help up perfect with almost no movement throughout rides up to 45 minutes long. My one dislike is the limited range of adjustment provided by the ball joint. It's great that it can spin and angle in any direction but if you don't have a horizontal bar to mount it to and have to mount it on a vertical portion of the handlebars you will have trouble getting a good angle for the phone to sit at. In a few cases where I have used it I was disappointed in the angle. However, it was manageable. That is why I give only 4 stars. Should have a 90 degree joint or something to extend the range of application. For people complaining about he ball joint moving, sand the ball so it is more rough and creates more friction in the socket.

Got this for Pokemon Go
I specifically bought this product for the Pokemon Go app. Whether it's getting steps to hatch an incubating eggs, travel to poke stops or track down a specific pokemon; the mount works very well. The mount fits securely for both 5 and 6 inch phones. Tested it out on my Nexus 5 and Nexus 6P. There's also a rubber band that attaches to the corners for added grip. Make sure you twist the manual locking mechanism after attaching it to the ball joint so there's no turbulence while riding When you hit speed bumps on the ground, the mount may change the angle slightly depending on what your bike rolled over, so you have to manually adjust the angle after impact. Your phone does stay on the bar though so no issues on it falling off your bike as it has a secure foundation. While casually riding it won't vibrate as it's very stable and easy to view (until you hit that big bump) Overall very impressed with the bike mount. And as always be aware of your surroundings ;) 4.5/5 **Update: Purchased another bike mount for my brother who also plays Pokemon Go and this one is a lot cheaper (as of this updated review): Bike Mount, Liger Universal "SuperGrip" Bike Mount Handlebar Holder for iPhone 6S 6/5s/5c/4s, Galaxy S5/S4/S3/S2, HTC One & Other Smartphones & GPS Holds Devices Up To 3.5in Wide. You get to save a couple of bucks. It's the exact same thing except the brand name on the device is different, and the Ipow version has an extra interchangeable band (you get a red and black band instead of only red in the Liger branded one). So up to you if you want to pay a couple of extra bucks for a bonus band.

Only Good for Smooth Surfaces
Easy to install and I'm not worried about losing my phone, but it only tightens so much and slides out of position if you hit decent bumps or a number of smaller bumps in a row. It's also a pain to tighten it up if you have bigger hands. I primarily use it on a cycling bike for smooth roads so I won't return it, but I would not get this again for another bike or a bike or motorcycle when I know the roads won't be really smooth. Definitely would not recommend this for a mountain bike or gravel bike if you're going off road or country roads.

Well worth the price
I was just about to purchase my second one of these and thought I should leave a review. I've had my first for about a year and it's been basically perfect for what it is. I have this on my motorcycle and am about to order one for my second bike because it's done such a fine job. The webbing that tucks around the corners has always been more than sufficient to keep my iPhone 5s in place, and that's a small phone by today's standards so I'm sure they'd be even tighter around your average phablet. I know plenty of friends whose mounts are more expensive, more complicated, and don't hold the phones as securely as this. As for the quality, it's unsurprising for the cost. The whole thing is kind of cheap feeling, especially the clamp mechanism itself that attaches to the handlebars. However once I had it installed it's never loosened itself or given me any issues. The ball and socket joint also works surprisingly well once set, but again is made of a light plastic that doesn't feel all that reassuring when being installed. Once you get things where you like them though, this mount keeps going and going. For $10? Definitely a good buy. EDIT: Took the new bike for a dirt ride with this mount, and had two offs. Handlebars hit the ground, broke a handguard, shredded one of my stock mirrors, and ground off part of the brake lever - and this mount never missed a beat! The phone was about the only thing that DIDN'T break off of the bike! Working as expected.

They Upgraded with Great Replacement Holder
Would have give higher rating but rubber stabilizers are to small for Galaxy Note20 so it has no holder other than side grips which are only good not great or excellent. In addition the screw that clamps the unit to handlebars is already rusting after only a month. 90% of metal from China rusts really fast. Had same problem with other items from there, I'm talking much higher (supposedly) quality & priced goods purchased in past. They have a serious rust problem. They repaced the holder with their motorcycle holder and I give it 5☆⭐️'s It is a nice, and secure holder. My phone fits with the case it's 17.5cm long x 8.8cm wide x 1.5cm thick which is just right. IMHO this holder will survive significant abuse or an accident quite well. It is very strong & sturdy. The locking & adjusting features are very thoughtful and useful. Would by again

It passed the test.
I just received it today and mounted it on my bike. Like other reviewers have mentioned, you can tighten the plastic nut that goes over the plastic ball to a point that it will make a "popping sound" and continue to turn, making you think that you cracked the nut. Fortunately, it did not crack, I just had to tighten it to a certain point before the popping sound occurs. I can see that it will not completely tighten to a point that the phone will not move at all, but I believe it will hold well enough for an average ride on pavement or packed dirt. Tomorrow I will take it for a test spin and update this review. Also, the rubber bands that secure each corner of the phone may cover your volume controls and the power button. You could probably move it around enough to leave them uncovered, but how long they will stay that way is undetermined For 12 bucks, even if the holder lasts only a few months, I won't be too unhappy..... UPDATE: Today I rode several miles on a dirt trail with its fair share of roots and rocks. I didn't go too fast, but held a steady pace and the phone holder did fine. It may have moved slightly, but I only needed it to remain on the bike. I wasn't interested in viewing it while riding , I just wanted to be alerted if someone tries to text or call, like my daughter's school or something important. It held up fine and did a great job on light trail conditions.

A Must Buy
Was easy to setup on my handle bar and also easy to use even while riding, an essential purchase to the cycling enthusiast. Have a BlackBerry Classic that I have my music stored on and connected to my bluetooth bike speaker blasting music all summer as I rode around, when you're listening to Tom Cochrane's Life Is A Highway when riding in the heat, it definitely makes it all the more enjoyable :)

WORKS
I literally fell of my bike and my phone was still attached. I can't be bothered to add a photo but i scraped my knee elbow and my shoulder.
