Review: My skin is all cleared up after a month of use - I was having a really bad break out than normal, so I started using this wash and my skin is clear after a month's use. I usually have mild acne and flare ups, but that last one was bad. I should note that after washing my face, I would apply Valentia's Even Glow Serum: Vitamin C 20%. This serum is what had triggered my severe break out 2 weeks earlier before I started the wash. The break out was the serum's "first use" side affect because it draws toxins from your skin. It's possible that the serum alone is responsible for my clear skin, but it's also possible that without the wash, I would have continued breaking out from the serum. Either way, I'm not willing to find out, because I like this clear skin. Plus..I still need a wash to wash my face with and this wash is just perfect for my skin. I have a hard time finding good washes because they either leave my skin feeling not clean enough or very clean but also quite dry, but this benzoyl peroxide wash leave my skin feeling smooth, clean, and not dried out. I use this with an exfoliating glove and it seems like a perfect match. My skin feels, as I aforementioned, quite smooth afterwards. Though for a tougher job I still need to use exfoliating washes. I should point out that this stuff needs to be thoroughly washed out, and by that I mean don't just splash water on your face over a sink. Actually get under the shower head. It will bleach your hair and clothes and potentially dry out your skin if not washed off all the way. I hang my exfoliating glove up to dry after use and when I came back a day after using it with the wash for the first time, the glove was slightly bleached. Now after many uses with the wash, the blue glove has lost most of its color. And this isn't a new glove. I've used and washed it many time before with no loss in color. This saddens me a bit as this means I cannot use this as a wash twice a day unless I take 2 showers a day. And that's too much Review: A godsend! - The 5% benzoyl peroxide wash has been amazing for my skin. I use it once a day in the shower on my face, neck, torso, back, and butt. I have always suffered from body acne since puberty and at 24 now, it can be a major pain. I had always relied on 10% washes because I figured they were higher strength and would work better. Wrong. All it did was super irritate and dry my skin out and couldn't consecutively use it because of this. With the 5%, I use it daily and sometimes twice a day. It works like a charm to keep acne at bay and has transformed my back. It's the clearest it has been in years and this is for 6+ months now. I've gone through two bottles now and will continue to order more as I need it. Give it a shot if you're in a similar situation! So worth it! Check out the picture I added. I wish I had a before to show the massive improvement. No more massive red bumps all over my back!!

A godsend!

Wouldn't trade it for another wash
Fell in love with this product a week after using it. I had terrible acne and finally decided to go visit a dermatologist. He wrote me a prescription for a Benzoyl Peroxide wash to be used every morning. When I went to go receive my prescription, the pharmacy was asking for over $100! I walked out without buying the prescribed wash. I came online and found this Topix Benzoyl Peroxide wash and decided to give it a try. I figured if it didn't work, I wouldn't be losing out on too much money. But I love this product! It didn't dry out my skin like I was expecting it to (I have sensitive combination skin). I can tell a difference with my acne after a weeks use. I've been using this wash for several months now and I don't plan on stopping. TIP: Do NOT get this on your clothing. I accidentally squirted some onto my pants and it bleached them. The bottle gives you warning, but this is an extra reminder!

Great alternative to Practiv
I went looking for a good alternative for Proactiv because I felt it wasn't working as well for me anymore and every time I went to order it, the price seemed to go up. I only use the wash but they were trying to sell just the wash for $99 for about a year supply. I found out that Proactiv is 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide so I figured 5% would be perfect. This product is perfect for the job. It's also a large size so a bottle lasted me just over 7 months. It keeps my skin mostly clear all the time, save for a few minor cycle-related blemishes. I also used a tiny bit on my 8 year-old daughter's chin where she was starting to get some black heads and after about 2 weeks of use, they were all gone. The one bummer is that the first time I ordered it, it was $12 with free shipping and how it's $16 plus $5 shipping. WTH? But, at that price it's still better and cheaper than Proactiv. I also haven't noticed that my towels are getting bleached like they did when I used Proactiv so that's good. Overall, it's still a great value. Hopefully the price doesn't go up anymore or I'll have to go looking again:)

It's Okay...
I used to work for a Dermatologist so I'm very aware of all the acne wash's and creams out there. This one though I had never tried so I decided to give it a go. I used to use ProActiv (which helps a little with my mild acne) but its so expensive I decided to try and find a different acne wash with the same amount or slightly more benzoyl peroxide. So I came across this which has 5% Benzoyl Peroxide and ProActiv has 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide so I thought maybe it might work the same or better than ProActiv. Well...It's more of a "cream" than a "wash." It's like washing your face with lotion, I think it's kind of weird. I'm still using it about every other day now because it kind of dried the creases of my nose out. So far I haven't had any breakouts but that might be because of this stuff or because it's not that time of the month when I usually break out. But this stuff doesn't really seem like it's doing the trick but I will give it a couple more weeks and see if it continues to help.

LOVE this!! 99.9% Acne free lol
I've had back acne for 8-10 years and these are a godsend item. I've always used salicylic acid (SA) to help CONTROL my acne and it did its job but i would always have new acne popping up randomly. If i had 10-15 acne on my back SA would bring it down to 4-5 and keep it there. THESE bad boys completely eliminate my back acne. I just squeeze a bit on my loofah and combine this with Nivea Mens sensitive body wash (http://www.amazon.com/Nivea-Men-Sensitive-Body-Ounce/dp/B00127O510/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1423691226&sr=8-1&keywords=nivea+sensitive+body+wash) This combo helps to keep everything nice a lathered up on the loofah so you have to apply less of Topix and the benefit of the Nivea's smell which is definitely much better than this. I do put lotion on my body after using this so i don't dry out and my skin is so much smoother now! Like 99.9% acne free The lotion I use is a generic version of Vaseline's fragrance free body lotion (http://www.amazon.com/Vaseline-Intensive-Repairing-Fragrance-20-3-Ounce/dp/B001ECQ4IU/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1423691601&sr=8-5&keywords=vaseline+body+lotion) that you can get at Harmon's (cheaper lol) if you dont want to spend as much but i love Vaseline's lotion!

Not for my skin type, caused extreme aggravation
My dermatologist recommended I use this once or twice a week in place of my normal cleanser. After the first use I awoke to a very dry, red patch of itchy skin on my left cheek. I then helped my husband move some outdoor furniture around which took approximately 1 hour in cloudy conditions. By noon my face had errupted into a dry, itchy, red, swollen mess. It persisted that evening and was the worst around my chin and jawline. The next day the worse irritation was was up my nose and under it (above my lip). It was nearly unbearable so I purchased some pure aloe gel and began applying every hour or so. I am now on day three and while the swelling is down, my complexion is very red, scaly and has parts that are extremely itchy and burny. I have continued the aloe upon recommendation from the pharmacist that this is a typical reaction for someone with sensitive skin. I feel the instructions should tell you to avoid the outside all together unless you are properly covered. Instead, there were instructions to avoid "Prolonged Sun Exposure." I will not be using this again and am only thankful that I purchased the 5% solution instead of the 10% solution suggested by my dermo. I warn everyone to use EXTREME caution when using this product and avoid being outside AT ALL unless you are covered. I had 30 spf on and it did nothing to thrwart side effects of this.

I was nervous
Buying a product from some brand I've never heard of, but it does well! It certainly doesn't smell very nice, but it's a medical soap so you can't expect much in that regard. I use about a dime size amount in the mornings and at night. I've had acne for years now and the salicylic acids never worked for me. With this my face has cleared up amazingly! I've tried other brands like PanOxyl 10% which is double the price and strength but it wasn't as effective at clearing my face up. The most it did was dry my skin out. This product is gentle enough to keep my face healthy and still do it's job! Very happy!
