Great stories to read the kids before bed.

My son-in-law LOVES this book. He was so excited to receive this for his birthday.

There are stories I'd forgotten I know I had read long ago (example: Edgar Allan Poe). There were stories I'd never read but thought I must have (example: Mark Twain, despite having read his complete works). From authors I knew came works I'd not read. Best of all is the selection from authors I'd never read and, in most cases, had never heard of. Most (all?) of these stories are beyond copyright so the collection should be free, right? No. Someone or several someones put effort into curating a remarkably entertaining and well-balanced collection and the result is worth far more than the price.

A gift for a busy person that doesn’t have time to sit down and read a whole book.

I get most of my reading through Kindle and Libby, but I still love the feel of a great book. This was me has nice end sheets, gilded edges and a great collection of stories.

This was the first page when opening the book and my daughter couldn't agree more 😆 I thought I was tripping but apparently the pages were placed the wrong way in the book (backwards and upside down) and we had a great laugh.. and I think it's pretty cool and unique.. I'm happy it was sent to me but I'm disappointed in the fact that I was looking for a book collect with the stories by Shirley Jackson the lottery.. either way 5 stars for the unique book

This book is a compilation of stories in the public domain, chosen, not because they are great, but because they cost the publisher nothing to compile. What was most annoying is that they couldn't even put the name of the author on each story as it appears. One has to go back to the table of contents to see who wrote it! I mean, really, how much effort could it take to do that? I foolishly bought both paperback and Kindle versions, and the Kindle version fonts are messed up. This was obviously a scheme to make money with no attempt to add value. Don't waste your time or your dollars. Buy a real book!

well presented, classic short stories.

An excellent choice and very reasonably priced

My kid like it .This book is having almost all best short stories of the world .This book same as per the picture .Nice and royal appearance . One more Admirable thing is ,this book is light weight so kids can handle easily .
