This magnet-to-magnet interaction makes it feel very strong when held and has a nice snap feel when taking the chalk back off.It's meant for a square chalk however, circular chalk like Taom also fits nicely after some easy manipulation into the soft plastic.By pushing on the metal center of chalk holder you can take the chalk back out.The build quality is very nice and seems a bit better than other clips I have used in the past.My only complaint is the high price. It's worth maybe $30 not $50, which is what I paid for it. What really gets me is that it is $50 listed on the manufacturer's website. Which is ridiculous to me.
