Reading reviews is an absolute minefield for lever pull bottle openers. That said this Le Creuset lever pull works really well, it has a smooth action and feels as though it will be durable. This replaced a cheaper model by another brand and that snapped in less than 6 months!

I bought this for my husband in September. I read the reviews and as it is from a well respected brand like Le Creuset, I thought it would last well. Sadly within weeks, the actual corkscrew became loose and stretched. It is incapable of opening a bottle of wine now. I don't know if there is a guarantee as I can't now see a way of contacting the seller. A very very expensive mistake - that I won't be making again

Good quality and clearly better made than a similar own-brand design that I purchased from a large department store, and broke after 5 or 6 years. If this one breaks (which seems less likely given the design) it will be the corkscrew insert, which is replaceable. So I'm expecting to get a lot more years from this one. The foil cutter is also excellent, 4 cutters instead of 2 makes a big difference. A big step up from the cheaper one it replaced. The major frustration is that at this price it doesn't come with a stand. That's just cheap. I used the stand from the old one that does fit but doesn't look quite right, but at least stores it neatly with the foil cutter just about staying put. It would definitely get a 5* from me if they included a stand.

At £85 I thought this woul feel and look like an expensive corkscrew , however it doesn’t. I bought a barbentia one for £10 and it’s as good so far. I can’t say how durable as not had either for long enough.

Sehr gut und eine robuste Lösung die sehr Wertig aussieht. Die Funktion ist auch sehr gut, nur bei spröden Korken kann es sein das der sehr feine Zieher sich aus dem Korken heraus zieht. Aber dann war der Wein eh nicht so gut… Gruß Peter
