Snazaroo Face Paint Palette Kit, Rainbow

I had never done face painting before but wanted to paint faces at my 3 year old son's lion-themed birthday party. The colors were bright and vibrant and a little color goes a long way so the colors will last a long time. The sponge is great for applying an all-over color. The brush is great for the details. The sponge well can be used for water and then there is an empty well for mixing colors. My son had fun painting Mom's face too and asks often to paint faces just for fun. The colors stay until washed off and it comes off easily and completely with water or baby wipes. I recommend this kit to anyone interested in body and face painting. I have tried other brands like the ones sold around Halloween in craft shops and there is no comparison. Go with this kit and you will not be disappointed!!! UPDATE: Over a year later and after many faces painted I am just now running out of white (did some phantom of the opera's). Ready to place an order for a new kit! Haven't found anything better than this stuff. I would not risk trying any other brand. The colors do fall out of their wells rather easily if it's turned upside down and that may be what is happening with so many comments of missing colors. Real shame, it's great stuff! I will take a chance and definitely order again and again.

I needed some face paint for my 4-year-old's Halloween costume. The only make-up I could find in stores was rated for 8yo+, or were cream makeup, which I wasn't keen on using. When in doubt, check Amazon. SO glad I did. This face paint is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Water activated, so no greasy feel. Dried completely, so though my son wiped it off over the course of the evening, it wasn't messy. A little goes a long way, so this kit should last a long time. Washed off easily. In short, perfect for what we needed. Reading other reviewer complaints about the paints being "dry" . . . Be aware that each little pot of color has a plastic film over it that needs to be removed before you wet the paint. And you do need to wet the paint, like a watercolor. It only takes a little bit of water to get a nice consistency of paint. I kept these little pieces of plastic to replace when I was finished in order to keep the colors clean in their pots. Also, be sure to order the right collection of colors. I see that some of the reviews say that the kits are missing colors. Not all kits have all the colors. I ordered the “Halloween” color collection, and it has a variety of colors, as well as an empty spot where you can blend your own color. Overall, I cannot recommend this product highly enough for parents who want an easy, kid-friendly face paint for Halloween, parties, and make-believe fun.

I recently used this product for face painting at a carnival. This is a high quality set of face paints (as far as non-professional makeup goes). Many competing kits are too runny, making it difficult to layer paint for more complicated designs. I'm planning to use this brand again for the carnival next year. According to Snazaroo, this kit paints up to 50 faces, but I think this kit can realistically do 25-30 full child faces. This kit includes the following colors: white, black, red, yellow, green, blue, orange, and brown. PROS: - Lightweight, fast-drying application - Easy to layer paints to add dimension and details - Doesn't smudge - Hypoallergenic and non-toxic - Washes off of skin with water if removed within 2-3 hours; washes off easily with hand soap after that - Washes out of clothing easily - Gallery book comes with pictures and step-by-step painting guides - Comes with sponges and brushes for application variety CONS: - Kit has a limited set of colors (buy two complementary sets to have a full range of colors -- the rainbow party pack makes a good complement) - Lacks small, fine brushes for "detail" application

My daughter decided she wants to be one of those Dias de Los Meurtas skeletons for Halloween and so I picked up some face paint at the costume store and we decided to practice to see how it would come out (and so I could hone my "artistic" skills). Big mistake. The face paint from the store was incredibly hard to work with, and the white cream based paint dried and cracked and generally looked awful. So I bought this kit from Snazaroo, hoping it would work out better and it did ... I just tested it out on the back of my hand, putting down a white base and trying black and a couple of other colors on top of it just to see how it looked, and it came out great. Very easy to work with, the brush that came with the kit drew nice clean lines and it was very easy to wash off. My only question is that in the directions it has a warning that it is not suitable for use around the eyes and lips, but several of the examples they show it around the eyes and lips, which seems contradictory.

The paint was great! It went on very smoothly and stayed on for hours. You can do at least twenty faces with this little package. I was disappointed that there was two colors missing from the package tho. Would have been 5 stars if I would have gotten the complete product.

Worth it for great memories! I bought it to entertain a 2nd grader and 2 year old. They both loved using it to paint themselves. The paint comes off very easily with just water as well. I can’t wait to use this for more hangouts and Halloween.

Product came damaged but usable

Great face painting kit, easy to use and can be used by children to paint their own face or by more experience users to make intricate face paint. Will buy again!

My daughter used it today as soon as it arrived We love the color and it didn't cause her any allergy so far.
