It's not the highest quality in the world, but for this price, can't expect that. It's still a really good pad. And sure, the wear leathers are showing some, well, wear... and that's to be expected. The wear is mostly under (and hidden by) the cinch.The 3/4 wool felt is very decent and seems to disperse heat nicely. The pad softened and shaped to my boy's (very high) withers and back really well and it doesn't slip around on him.There's also a more square-cut version of this pad that we bought first, but this one fits so perfectly with my round-skirt saddle that I sold that one and got this.
