They do it all. If I have a spill, I grab one. When it's time to clean the countertops, I use one. Dog pees in the floor? This is perfect. I wash them alone (if they're super dirty) or with other towels if they're not too dirty. I bleach when necessary. And when they become completely stained, they go into the "old rags" cabinet to be used on super filthy stuff (usually my husband's outdoor or mechanic-type stuff.) I really love these towels and highly recommend as a cleaning rag. They are not soft and I would definitely not prefer to use them as a bathing washcloth, nor would I use them on an infant or child.
