## Description

Don’t let animals have the pick of the garden before you can. Deer, rabbits, moles and other four-legged pests enjoy your lawn and landscape as much as you do – hit them in the nose so they won’t come back. Liquid Fence animal repellents use scent- and taste-deterring formulas that won’t harm animals or plants when used as directed. Invisible barrier. Clear results. Liquid Fence Deer & Rabbit Repellent Concentrate2 repels deer and rabbits before they feed! This concentrated liquid formula repels deer and rabbits from landscaped ornamental gardens, flowers, shrubs, trees and vines. The repellent works on scent, so deer and rabbits don’t have to take a bite to be repelled. It is harmless to plants and animals when used and stored as directed, and can be applied year-round. The formula is long-lasting and rain resistant. Animals’ natural aversion to this scent will never diminish – this product does not have to be rotated with other repellent brands. Reapply once a week for 3 weeks, then approximately once a month thereafter. Reapplication is recommended after excessive rainfall.

Review: Does seem to repel Rabbits- Does seem to damage Petunias- Get the Gallon size Concentrate. - Update: All my flowers are growing great and the rabbits stay away from them. I mix up 8oz of this repellent with 1 gallon water in my pump sprayer and it smells plenty strong. I dont spray my petunias since it seems to burn them so I spray a 1-2 foot area around them. It doesnt seem to harm the grass at all. In my little fenced in wild flower garden the plants are growing like crazy overflowing over and even thru the chicken wire and the rabbits dont touch them when last year they would eat everything they could reach. They seemed to really like eating black eyed susans and I havent noticed even one branch eaten since spraying. Around that garden i'll spray the gravel in the front and the grass in the back, the rabbits dont even touch the petunias in the back. And there are still rabbits around I just had one in the back yard this morning and it didnt even go near the flowers as I was watching to see what it would do. I cut back on the daily spraying, now ill spray after I cut the lawn and after it rains out to get some fresh repellent down. Update: This stuff seems to be working so well I just bought a gallon size of the concentrate. I should have bought it from the beginning. I have been spraying it nightly just because im paranoid about my plants being eaten. I mix it up a little lighter than the directions say to get a little more coverage and it seems to be working great. Since using this product I have seen a few rabbits around but nothing like before and they are leaving my flowers alone for the most part. Yesterday I went out and I did catch a rabbit hiding in a corner under a sunflower plant and it had a leaf in its mouth it was munching on. My sunflowers are still small around 2 feet tall and it had nibbled off a lower leaf. It quickly ran off into a neighbors yard where it met with another rabbit. I watched them as they started eating the grass over there. Sure enough i noticed them starting to make there way over my yard again. I got out my sprayer that has it mixed up already and turned the nozzle to spray a long stream and I was able to reach them with it and they quickly ran off. I still dont spray my petunia flowers directly since it does seem to stain the flowers, even overspray will make them look spotted. Instead I spray a large area of the grass all around the plants and it seems to work. I have a small wildflower garden that I fenced off with chicken wire to keep the rabbits out and I noticed they will stand up and eat whatever they can reach so i now spray the ground all around the garden and that seems to work, I hardly notice any flowers eaten. The spray doesnt seem to really effect the wild flowers, ill stand back and give the outer ones a quick overspray and havent noticed any negative effects. If you have a lot of flowers then get the gallon size concentrate because you will probably go thru the smaller sizes quick. I mix around 8oz per gallon of water in my pump sprayer. There seems to be a colony of cottontail rabbits running around my neighborhood and they love eating all the flowers I plant around the yard. i have put up a fence made of chicken wire around one of my flower gardens but I also have nice Wave petunia plants scattered around where fencing wont really look good. Last year I tried spraying scorpion hot sauce on the plants and it did work great at stopping the rabbits from devouring them, they would still nibble but the hot sauce must get to them quick and they leave the plant alone. I would have to spray the plants often as they grew and especially after it rained . It was getting expensive going thru so much hot sauce even when I mixed it with water. There must be dozens of them running around and im seeing small babies all the time so they are reproducing like crazy. I like rabbits and think they are nice to see, I just dont want my flowers ruined. I tried a ready to spray 32oz bottle of this stuff and it does seem to keep the rabbits away. Since I have been using it I have only noticed 1 flower bud half eaten. Unfortunately this spray does seem to damage the petunias, the leaves and flowers seemed to discolor or burn when sprayed directly on them. Now I just spray the surrounding area and it seems to work also. I went thru the 32oz ready to spray bottle so I just bought the 40oz concentrate which seems like a much better deal. using it per the directions the 40oz bottle of concentrate will make over 12 of the 32oz spray bottles. That comes out to around $2.50/32oz bottle. The only thing is the concentrate smells very bad, I find it disgusting and have to hold my breath when mixing it.
Review: Used for years, works on all mammals in yard - I’ve been using this stuff in various forms for close to a decade. The make your own from concentrate is far away the most cost-effective approach if you’re doing a lot of plants. I use it year-round, on everything from small bonsai to vegetable gardens to bright flowers to small trees. It works well with deer – just you have to be very consistent with spraying and spray a bit more frequently if it is raining a lot or if you have very high deer pressure. It also works great on squirrels, rabbits, and rodents. I found that this prevents squirrels from chewing on a young magnolia tree that I planted, and my bonsai no longer have rodent interest when they are overwintering outside. It is – however - a pain to apply because it stinks so bad. You have to choose a time when there’s less human activity outside, and wear gloves and use garbage bags to contain stinky supplies. However, it is more than worth it to be able to grow pretty much whatever I want with minimal damage, and minimal safety risk to people and pets. Great product.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I notice this new product has a much lower percentage of putrescent egg solids. How does it compare with original formula?**
A: Wow! Very surprising, and very disappointing, to read that the "new" product is in fact charging customers the same for 40% less coverage. (Because percentage math can get tricky, so to let me be accurate: If you previously paid $35 for a 40 ounce bottle that produced 5 gallons, and now you pay $35 for a 40 ounce bottle that produced 3 1/8 gallons, that's 37.5% fewer gallons, but the cost per gallon has increased from $7.00 to #11.20, which is a 60% increase in cost.) Who raises prices that much?! The answer comes from a little Googling, which reveals that Liquid Fence was a small company in Pennsylvania that got purchased in 2014 by a large conglomerate (United Industries Corp., a subsidiary of Spectrum Brands Holdings, which owns and manufactures other brands you'd recognize like Spectracide, Hot Shot, Black Flag, Cutter and Repel). They apparently closed the plant in Pennsylvania and moved manufacturing to a United Industries plant in Missouri -- and in the process jacked up the effective price to consumers by 60%. The's big business and capitalism, I guess, but it makes me angry. I've used Liquid Fence for years, but I think I'll be trying some competing products now to see if something else can get the job done.

**Q: How does one mix? What ratio to water? Must have separate sprayer right?**
A: Thank you for your question. Our product must be applied with a separate sprayer. The mix ratio is 12.8 fl oz to a gallon of water.

**Q: how long is shelf life**
A: Can repel up to two years. You free to contact JBrock Enterprises Thanks

**Q: How long will this be effective after mixing?
If I make 1/2 gallon and only use 1/4 gallon, will that be as effective the next week premixed?**
A: Hi Larry, thank you the inquiry regarding our Liquid Fence Deer & Rabbit Repellent Concentrate. Once mixed the product is good up to 60 days. The satisfaction of our consumers is very important to us. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works for us, has a bad Oder and is reasonably priced.
*by J***K on April 30, 2026*

Liquid Fence works good around our house for deterring the deer, but it does have a strong unpleasant Oder that lingers for a day or two. I haven't really run a test for how long it lasts because that would give the deer the advantage. 😂 I reapply it after a heavy rain just to be sure it's still working and since we've been using "Liquid Fence" we have very little to no damage from the deer except the babies who will sample everything, but they usually only take one bite of the treated plants and then move on. This 40 0z. bottle makes a bit over three gallons and that should take us thru summer. All the deer repellants have increased in price over the last few years, and this one is about middle of the road price wise about $40 bucks and that's a bunch cheaper than plants.
