will it melt if i clean up with acetone

I have been using Acetone to clean Rustoleum hammered paint off of mine and haven't had an issue.

How do you clean this? - or it it really a one time use?

I just spray water on it (for latex paint) while spinning it in drill/driver. For oil base just clean with paint thinner. Not a one time use; should last you for many, many years

How big is the steering head

The steering head is 2 1/2 inches.

Are the blades hard or flexible? Would they fit in a one gallon jug?

The blades on the one gallon helix paint mixer are hard with a little bend to them. They are made for one gallon paint cans; if the opening of the jug is equal to a 1 gallon paint mixer, then it should fit no problem.
