I recommend fallowing them and using the correct amount of water, boiling it as instructed and waiting for the cook time. when you preform the correct cooking method the tasty and texture is vary present. you have to remember this is freeze dry not a five star stake. I think this beats having a froze PB and J in the middle of winter hiking. A great moral boost a warm meal vs cold eating wait hiking. ultra light (remember the weight will be in the water if carried and not found on trail).
