I also was surprised that the smallest tube didn't seem to increase the blowing power at all. I ended up not using it. My biggest issue is the vacuum, which is extremely weak. I literally hover over the leaves to vacuum them up. It’s very time consuming. I guess an expensive option is the best way to go.
