He usually wears very flexible Nikes for foot support but these fit for more casual outfits. Even if you order a size bigger, the velcro straps can be tightened to make a tighter fit. Initially when he walked in them, he walked a little funny (duck walk) but he then broke them in (in about 2-3 weeks with maybe 2x wearing a week) and he walks in them fine now. Also really easy to slip on and off.
