Purchased these as the pads has worn out of existing ones. They are very easy to replace as it's just one screw. Seems just as good as the original ones for a great price

Worked as expected

Found my wife had bagged the child’s micro scalextric for the bin because ‘it didn’t work’. The set is less than a year old so I got some of these to replace the originals. Set now goes like new. Even if the interest is no longer there, the set is now in a working condition and ready to sell give away. Original item, best price I could find delivered, and Amazon is just easy. Scalextric should supply spares with a racing set, would add to the longevity.

Easy to put together although the supplied track is not to long it's fairly easy to add to. We bought an extra set with this £15 from Amazon and it made a difference. Truthfully it's more for children I guess at least 5, or adults, we've tried it with younger and they can't seem to grasp the concept of going slightly slower round corners :-) :-) The one downside is that the contact between the two supplied cars is formed by brushed wire and we find that it very easily gets pushed into the cars body after a knock. This means stopping everything while you sort it out, for little ones this quickly gets old. I think it would have been much better to have used a solid rail on the base of the cars for connectivity rather then the small strip if soft wire.
