ESI Super Cap Seal XL 20 FT (2 1/8" Width x 1/2" Height x 20' Length) EPDM Rubber for Caps Over 200 lbs

I have had enough of the flimsy foam tape "seals." I have a heavy fiberclass high top type of cap, and have never had as water tight a seal as this. I live in the Land of Filtered Light with plenty of rain and snow. When I installed this, I adhered it to the bed rail instead of the cap and used the supplied putty to seal the corners. I know this sounds wrong, but a few weeks after I installed it I was in an accident and the shop had to remove the cap and truck bed. I told the shop to order another one of these seals, but in the end it was not needed. The seal was still good and the cap has not leaked since. I also love the design of this. The three rubber ridges create two channels between the outside of the cap and the inside. If any water were to make it through the first ridge, it gets channeled away. If it makes it through the second ridge--unlikely--there is another channel before the third ridge. Great design!

This is a thick, wide, quality seal. My old seal was so cheap and smashed. Installed this one and still had some left over. Installed on Leer Topper on 2021 Toyota Tacoma 5ft bed.

Very easy to install and more than enough for my truck. I have a 93 ranger with a 7ft bed, which is about 19 feet of perimeter total, so I had about a foot of the stuff left. The instructions say to cut a 90 degree cut at 45 degrees perpendicular/into the side of the strip to maintain a seal on the corners, but I just cut it straight across and applied 3 strips (I was more concerned about saving my paint than making a perfect seal).

I just installed this on a custom topper and it looks very promising. The material looks and feels high quality and the adhesive seems very sticky, although very thin. it shouldn't matter too much considering it will be under compression for most of its life. it came with cleaning pads and simple instructions that were useful in cutting the corners. I have yet to check its seal on my truck but I'm sure it'll work considering how thick and spongy it is.

Used for a camper shell on my 1992 F150, worked perfectly. Extra wide to keep rain and dust out and thick enough to allow body flex. Would recommend.

Works well at keeping the dust out of the bed of the truck. Its been 2 years and still sticking with no issues in a Pennsylvania climate.

Nice gasket........poor adhesive. Wouldn't cling to the topper even after cleaning.

I camp in the back of my truck, having installed fabric on mostly everything, waterproofing is a huge issue, no one likes waking up to a wet sleeping bag after a night of rain! After trying a handful of other weather stripping and truck bed seal products, I think I've finally found something that works. When I held the roll in my hand I knew it was a quality product, plenty heavy and a high quality feel. The product maintains its "sponge" when sealed under the truck cap, unlike a weather stripping product which inevitably compresses to a thin strip of nothing. The added bit of butyl-rubber type compound (think sticky-tack) is a great addition for cramming into those tiny holes and corners which are otherwise impossible to fill. Make sure you clean the mating surface with alcohol or acetone to get the best results, I found the small alcohol pads weren't quite enough, but that they added them to the kit at all was a nice touch, everyones got some rubbing alcohol laying around the house anyways. SO happy with this great stuff, well worth the price.
