They offered to send me another door free under their one year warranty. I emailed the required Amazon invoice and heard nothing for 10 days. In response to my followup email, they said they'd not received the first one (I sent all my emails to the same email address), so I sent the documentation in again and received the new door a few days later. Installed it without issue. I also put a short screw through the top center hole to hold the flap in place (will have to remove this screw if I ever need to insert the security panel). I wish they'd design a better mount for the flap, since this is why I had to buy a new door in the first place.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Cheap, flimsy plastic breaks easily, doesn't last. Our first door lasted about a year when the plastic split at the upper left corner and would no longer hold the flap in place. The second one broke upon installation and then would not go in the opening correctly or in a useful way. Yes, I was being slow and careful, having dealt with these fragile parts before. You'd think it would be a plus that the Havahart slide-in security panel and the screws are metal (unlike the cheap plastic snap-on panel and screws that come with PetSmart doors), but given that they are used on cheap plastic parts, the metal is more likely to break the plastic. Will try another brand next time. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good item, poor template *by S***R on Reviewed in the United States on January 26, 2011* The box said it had a template. I searched and searched and didn't see a template. Then I realized the instruct6ion sheet might be the template since it had vertically and horizontally "centered" lines. The center wasn't actually the center, though. Anyway, per instructions and using this as a template the door was marked and cut, but the pieces could not be properly screwed together. Another approximate 1/2" all around had to be cut. Once that was done the frame fit in perfectly. I'm using this on an interior door, so I left the flap out of it. I just wanted to be able to lock the door at night yet give the cats free access. Had no problem getting them to use it. They're used to hooded litter boxes.I might add,when I first opened the box and didn't see a piece marked template and noticed the plastic frame looked dirty, I wondered if this was an item that had been returned-that may still be the case since the template was incorrect.So if the template hadn't been wrong, I'd give this 5 stars. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Door for the Money *by V***E on Reviewed in the United States on October 18, 2011* I just installed this door over the weekend. I think it took all of 20 minutes to install, because I had the opening already constructed and framed out in the patio enclosure. My only complaint is that the metal door is hard to slide in at times. I am hoping that with more use, it'll wear down a little and make it easier to slide in and out.
