Definitely pleased with this purchase. They came secure in plastic to protect the roots. Easy to plant. I chose a 16 inch self watering pot. I got these around April 10th. This picture is 7 days later 4/17. The 2nd picture is today, 4/25. Get them if u want!!! It's definitely worth the purchase. I'm trying to decide I want more. Picture updates...24 days later since I purchased...5/4 update - These are paired with creepy Jenny's in a 16 inch self watering pot. 1 has even produced a 4th Hostas. Excellent buy!!!!!

When I first saw the plants, I was a little disappointed. However, that disappointment didn't last long. When the hosta was plated it began to grow almost instantly. My wife and I were inpressed with the quality and varity of the plants. If you get these bare root plants, I believe you will be pleased.

The roots I got are growing nicely, but I only got 5, not 6 as promised.

Within less than a week after planting, every plant had leaves poking thru the ground!They are all beautiful!

My hosta roots arrived in time and appeared to be in good shape. I received a full set of six. Four of the six already had budding leaves. After following all care instructions and recommendations from local gardeners, I planted and watered accordingly. The two sets of roots without buds never sprouted. They may have already been dead upon planting - hard to tell. One of the four that appeared healthy and was already budding died just four weeks after planting. The remaining three are strong and thriving. Of the four that budded, only three were variegated. With only three survivors, this means each of the successful plants cost me $6. That’s better than the $7.50 WalMart would charge per plant, but not as good as the $5 per plant at Home Depot. I went with roots specifically to save money (coming out around $2-$3 per plant if all six had lived). While I do feel proud of the three that I’ve planted and grown myself, in the end I’d recommend going to your local gardening center for grown hostas instead, to guarantee health and color for the price.

Arrived today. Brought them in right away and put them in room temperature water for a few hours. Then got them in the ground and munched around them. Suppose to rain tomorrow so they are getting off to a great start. Roots looked really long and health. All plants had strong eye growth on them already. So I'm pretty confident by end of summer they will up and flourishing. Next year even better.

I was so nervous but these came to me in great shape! Super healthy and great root system! Cant wait to see them grow.

Excellent purchase. Plants were fully developed, great root system with green leaves already growing! Great for pots or in the ground.
