Follow four world-class surfers living the lifestyle most only dream about - for three months these adventurers drive their Chevy Suburban from dusty Baja to tropical mainland's Puerto Escondido. "Siestas & Olas", Spanish meaning 'naps' and 'waves', beautifully captures the true travel experience with rich visual imagery, traditional Mexican music, and insights into local cultures. Between searching for the next perfect beach the adventurers discover the warmth and beauty that is Mexico and have the times of their lives riding down and cruising along flawlessly breaking waves. This DVD Version Includes: * Director's Discussion * Behind The Scenes Stories * Where Are They Now? * :30 Second T.V. Spot * 2nd Audio Track Features same laid-back humor, surfer slang, and hypnotic boarding footage [as Endless Summer]. It worked then, it works now. --Daily Variety Filmmaker Dan Wozniak wanted a gentle, peaceful movie about fun, friends and the joy of discovery. --Chris Ahrens, Sun Newspapers The surf action is accomplished, the cultural sidebars worthwhile, and the Mexican radio station a welcome relief from surf muzak. --Steve Pezman, The Surfer's Journal Review: Verano Interminable - For you gringos, that's Endless Summer in Spanish. Get it? The DVD follows the same narration format, with a couple of surfers taking 3 months off to surf Mexico from Baja to Puerto Escondido (that's Puerto not Porto, as the narrator pronounced it) making the trip in No. 2, an old Chevy Suburban. The production was very entertaining with good surfing and an equally good story line in the places they stopped and the locals they met along the way. Definitely worth owning. Review: Don't sleep on this excellent film! - Get your surf buddies together, grab some beers and enjoy this beautiful movie. Shot on real film, the image quality far surpasses your typical surf video footage. Combine this visual quality with the scenery and waves of costal mexico, top notch surfing and easy going travelogue-esque story telling and you have the best surf film I've seen in a *long* time.

A New Favorite
In the past twelve hours I have viewed this awesome movie no less than 3 times. These guys and their longboarding mesmerized me. The style is typical of Bruce Brown and classic style. It gives you the same feeling as Endless Summer. I highly recommend it. In fact, I am going to purchase it for my collection.

Siestas and Olas
I wanted this great film on DVD, but it is not available in that format. So, I bought and added it to my Amazon Video Library. I view the film on my 27" lcd computer monitor whenever I want.

Toms worth watching
Kinda has the feel of a home movie of you and your buddies on a surf trip. Not the best surfers but Toms always fun to watch and Tudor is good in the last section. Lots of Bruce Brown cornball stuff but still worth a rental for sure.
