This Shoe Was a Real Surprise
When this shoe arrived it seemed too light weight and flimsy to amount to much. It is almost entirely made of recycled materials, a good thing if durable. I bought these along with another pair of shoes as a replacement for a pair of Keen water shoes I use when kayaking. These somehow got left behind on a kayak camping trip. My intent was to evaluate them and return one pair. I kept them both, thinking that the Keens would make good beach/water shoes. I have worn them several times now and I love them! They are very light weight to wear and fit great. The footbed (the reason I buy so many Keens) is supportive and very comfortable. At first I didn't think I would like the adjustable heel strap. Now I think it's great. Loosened, it lets me slip the shoe on and off easily. fastened, it keeps the shoe securely on my foot. I have gotten them wet and find that they dry much faster than other shoes I have used as water/beach shoes. I have still to use them in my kayak, but I'm thinking they may be my first choice for this activity. Check them out. You may be as positively surprised as I have been!

More Comfortable and Supportive than Expected
These shoes are amazingly light (just a bit heavier than air :-) ). I took these shoes on a vacation to FL. I did use them on a sea kayak and they worked great. I've done whitewater kayaking in the past, and I think these shoes would be useful in that mode (same with whitewater rafting). I was surprised at the comfort level of these shoes. While I don't recommend these shoes for very long strenuous hikes over difficult terrain, the shoes surprised me at how comfortable they felt after a long day of sightseeing. I think mostly I was surprised because the sole isn't that thick and didn't seem to provide a lot of elasticity to my step.I always liked Keens because they easily fit a wide foot, though many of their recent offerings are quite narrow. These shoes fit a wide foot comfortably.

WILL NOT BUY AGAIN. NEVER
Absolutely rubbish .... didn't last even 3 month. Bought it for swimming pool use as I'm swimming coach. Have been wearing only 3 hours a day and NO gym or sport activities or another use ... just walk on pool site. Fits great, seats on the foot great but quality of material is very poor. After 150 hours of usage, walls of shoes cracked on both feet. Sides became split open. WILL NOT BUY AGAIN. NEVER.

This is both a design problem (not enough reenforcement in the right places) and poor materials. I liked these shoes generally
UPDATE: See my review of Salomon Men's Tech Amphib 3 Shoes, MUCH BETTER!!Two problems, one small, one big... First issue is the narrow width of the heel strap which means the velcro strips are too small. This is especially true if you are in any sort of plant material, which clogs the hook/loop closures and are then constantly coming undone. This is a design problem I could live with... Second problem is a show-stopper. After less than a year of light use mostly sitting in a kayak, the sidewalls tore off the soles (see other reviewer with similar complaint). This is both a design problem (not enough reenforcement in the right places) and poor materials. I liked these shoes generally, so it is too bad they failed so quickly.

Great for awhile, but not all day wear
Very easy to get on/off and there is a patch of soft material to go over your achilles tendon. These were more comfortable than I expected. The footbed is soft and has some arch support. The soul is not as floppy as a water sock, but not as firm as a typical shoe and starts to become noticeable on a long enough walk. The inside has a soft suede like material to keep your foot from rubbing directly on an uncomfortable material, how ever, the edge of this material was right on top of my 1st metatarsal and after walking long enough did start to rub.

Good product, but could be a lot better, so advise all to shop for alternatives
Good foot gear for casual walking in warm/wet areas. Used them extensively during recent trip to Vietnam. Cool and easy to clean. The inside of the shoe could be much better thought out and manufactured, and the arch could definitely be higher. I think that because Keen is successful, they don't pay close attention to details of customer needs and satisfaction. I would suggest looking hard for competitive options before buying. that is the best way to encourage companies to build better products. I will definitely be looking for alternatives before buying Keen again, even though I like their products.

Short life span, but feel nice on the feet.
Very nice fit, and feel good but started to crack and break after only 1/3 of the rafting season/summer with daly use they probley make it to one full season before they become unwearable. So can't give them high stars but I wanted to. I've tried every big name and off brand water shoe there is and nothing has made it more then one season, teva and underarmor water shoes being the shortest life span at only a few weeks.

KEENS Class 6
Was looking for a sandal with covered toes and a velcro strap on heel for use in the BWCA.Purchased these because Merrill no longer makes this style. My Merrills were heavier, Velcro straps and metal loops that held them were stronger. My new Keens are light weight, really nice. Wish the back Velcro strap had more structure to it. Seems a bit flimsy - but WILL NOT keep me from wearing them...I REALLY like them!
