How much quieter is this power shower? My current As2000xt is running at 80+ decibels

This shower is a lot quieter than our previous Triton, noticeably quieter. I've just checked using a sound meter and with the power at 80% it read 64bd on the shower cubicle and 58db outside with the shower door closed. The shower cubicle is not floor to ceiling (as many aren't). At 50% power it read 56bd in the cubicle and 50db outside with the door closed. Would be a little higher at max power but we tend to run it around 75% which is plenty. Hope this helps.

can this be used from mains feed?

No, this shower is effectively pressure booster for an internal gravity hot and cold water supply. It cannot be connected directly to mains water supply, and it does not heat the water.
