I purchased this phone for my mother who has hearing and eyesight difficulties. The large numbers and display, plus the very loud ringing are a godsend. The best part of all is the sound-booster button on the side of both handsets, my mother says she can clearly hear the person speaking when the booster is activated. Great phone.

Excellent for elderly, hard of hearing amplifies very well, a little difficult to set up if not tech savvy. Not the cheapest but does the job, clear buttons but can be a bit tricky to remember what to press when activating the volume boost. Not disappointed with purchase.

Love the easy programming of number,did not like trying to set it up had to resort to mr google ad no quick instructions in box . Do find it user friendly now .

Very difficult to set up due to extremely cryptic instructions. Simple tasks e.g clearing messages are way beyond me. Amplification for hard of hearing is very strange - settings appear to be normal and too loud

Quieter than a normal bt phone. Returned as for my hard of hearing mum

I bought these phones for my mother who is 95 years old and still lives in her own house with no help. She is in very good health but extremely deaf so struggling to hear the phone ringing and also struggling to hear people talking to her on the phone. The phones were relatively easy to set up and the red light on the handset that flashes when the phones ring is very useful but, that is where the positives end. The boost button on the side of the phone does indeed boost the volume of the speaker during a call but only to a level of her original phone’s that I replaced and the ringer volume is no better than the original phone’s. Overall these are decent quality phones but I am disappointed with them as they claim to be superior to similar ones that are specifically for the hard of hearing and apart from the flashing light they are not.

The product works OK as a phone and answering machine, It does have useful features to help both elderly (large keys etc) and hard of hearing (volume boost and tone control). In practice the overall sound levels (volume) were no higher than a std cordless phone (checked vs my own cordless phone).The tone control made some difference but required custom settings not stored for next use. My mum now has to go through a (for her) over complex sequence for every call (setting volume to max, add volume boost and then adjusting tone to Bass) for it to be usable for her.... Not worth the 3x cost of a standard cordless home phone set with speaker capability - hence 4* rating. Delivery process and shipping were very quick.
