Also replaced the burner tubes. The grill was hard to start as the old flame spreader was corroded to the point of having holes/gaps/blockage that didn't allow the flame/gas to spread properly. This resolved that issue. Add new burners, a new battery in the ignitor and possible new grids and you have renewed the life of your expensive grill. I am only getting about two years out of burners and 4 years out of this spreader. There were no instructions but install is easy with the two part design. Install the bottom half over the ignitors so that the metal ground is just above the ignitors. Reinstall the burner tubes. Add the top part alternating the interlocking pieces so that it has a snug fit (look at the removed one to see if in doubt). Seems like a quality part and fits well. Time will tell if I get 4 more years out of it. Review: Fits great - Easy install.
