Can the stinger take a 5/8 staple?

Hey Tim, this tool will only accept Stinger 3/8" Staplepac. Thanks!

Do you have to pull the triger every time or can you pull it and leave it pulled?

You need to pull the trigger every time to deploy the next cap to be nailed. If you don't want to keep pulling the trigger, you should get the auto loading one. For me, once you get into the rhythm of pulling the trigger and stapling the cap, it works fine and I was going at a very good place.

Does it come with any cap staples?

Staples are purchased separately.

Install tyvek over exterior gypsum based sheathing (not plywood) seems 3/8" staples may have an issue with holding. (plastic cap)? any help?

Depends how fast you work ...with that said I prefer 1/2 plywood sheathing INSTEAD OF RDX BUT COST IS A FACTOR , staples are a temp hold til new siding is installed . I have seen wind loosen house wraps before and added grip from wafers won't hurt or harm any job...
