AquaZoom L rectangular sprinkler: Sprinkler for watering areas of 28–350 m², range 7–21 m, spread 4–17 m, built-in metal filter (18714-20)

Obviously coverage is dependent on water pressure so the advertised coverage needs to be taken with a pinch of salt. I generally get about 6m wide by 10m long but it does change day to day and hour by hour depending on the mains pressure. The great thing about this sprinkler is that you can change the length both forwards and backwards and side to side, so if your lawn is not rectangular you can vary the pattern as you move the sprinkler around the lawn and it still gives an even, smooth spray pattern without overshooting the lawn.

well constructed and effective. I'm not getting the advertised range but I think that is because we are using an extremely long hose.

This was my third Gardena Aquazoom L. The previous two used the old design but 2 or 3 years outside in British weather is all they get before they die. But the coverage was always great for our low North London water pressure. They did the whole garden (60m2). This new design of the same sprinkler is appallingly bad. Water at full pressure barely went above my waist and covered about 10m2. Far from the “350m2” stated on the box. And we checked our water pressure and it has not gone down and also I checked and double checked all the settings including the flow optimiser which actually just is a tap for less water flow. No way does this come close to the previous design and my wife and I just laughed it was so bad. Will have to look for different sprinklers or try and find the old design somewhere. Terrible sprinkler. Stay away.

It’s very expensive for what it does which is not very much. Perhaps because of the water pressure in my area or because of the number of nozzles it does not really cover a wide range. It also retains a large amount of water so takes ages to drain. I’d have been better buying a hozelock for alot less.

German design, just great, you can adjust the spray nozzles with the 2 little levers that means you are adjusting the width of the spray pattern. Also the small valve on the sprinkler means you can adjust the water pressure and therefore height of the spray meaning you’re not running back and forwards to tap and sprinkler to get your optimum coverage. Feels better quality than the more expensive hose lock sprinklers I have bought in the past, also the plastic the hose lock sprinklers are made from seem to degrade and become brittle from sunlight UV as all 5 of them have broken in a similar place on the frame or the oscillating mechanism malfunctions leaving it useless. Looks like I will be getting more than one season out of the Gardena. A lot of thought has gone into this design, just great 👍

Works as advertised.

I have experience with many other brands of oscillating sprinklers but never a Gardena. I live in the Central Valley of California where the summers are usually between 95 degrees and 115 degrees during the summer. Needless to say, sprinklers are very important. Besides water evaporation, the sun and heat rapidly degrade plastics. Most lawn equipment are made of plastics. Even the well known brand names of lawn equipment usually don't last longer than 3 years before the plastic becomes brittle and degrades to the point of cracking and breaking, especially anything that move like dials, knobs and levers. Looking for something better, I did a little research on Gardena products and I noticed the mention of the plastics being frost and UV resistant! After further investigation I discover that Gardena Aquazoom sprinklers also have a FIVE year warranty! (You won't find this warranty info in the Amazon ad, so I enclosed a pic of the info on the box.) So I purchased an Aquazoom oscillating sprinkler and can say that it is, indeed, a noticeable step up in quality and precision. All the controls work very smoothly and the variability of the watering patterns is very precise. And after two summers, the plastic has not even started to fade. And the cost is comparable to the other brand name lawn equipment companies. So when you include price, quality German-engineering and a 5 year warranty, the value is outstanding.

Durable, does what it need to do.

芝生の庭が100坪くらいあって広いので、回転式のスプリンクラーと今回購入した首振り式の2台体制で水撒きしています。5回くらい配置場所を変えて全体に水が行き届くようにしています。回転式は位置を変える時一旦水を止めてからじゃないと自分に水がかるのが面倒なのですが、首振り式は水の向きが自分と反対側の時に本体を持つと、ぬれずに配置場所をかえられるので便利です。水圧が弱いと思ったことは無いです。飼っているラブラドールも水が降ってくる感じが楽しいらしく、毎朝水にじゃれて遊んでいます。
