Great bang for buck value
I absolutely love this pea coat. I lurked amazon forever for a big sized peacoat in dark navy, and they finally stocked it in my size. I rrally appreciate Nautica making products for larger people. The image is a bit misleading in that the buttons are just plain mat black buttons, instead of the shown anchored buttons in the image that traditional pea coats have. They are loose, but these buttons are meant to be slightly loose. If you break em, and need to re sew it, make sure give the button a little slack, otherwise it will be difficult to get then undone once you have the coat on. This pea coat is the dark navy color, in 3xl regular. I have a 53 chest, and a 54 waist, and the 3xl fits me with plenty of room to layer up a turtle neck, cable knit sweater, canvas vest, and a scarf. Despite my girth, I'm only 5'8", yet the sleeve length isn't too bad., runs about half of my hand. The coat itself is a bit long on me running almost halfway on my thigh, pea coats are supposed to be more like a quarter passed your belt waist, but for a 3xl I am p short. There's a spare button on the inside, and the inside is quilted, altho, I will say this coat is a bit thin. This is not a Melton 100% all natural wool, but it says so on the product page, and I knew that well before buying this coat. However, if you layer up like a regular person does in the winter, then you'll be fine. I wore this when it was 9 degrees out in windy Chicago, and it kept me warm.

Nice fitting, stylish coat
While researching pea coats, this one by Nautica came up with good reviews on several sites so I decided to take a chance at the $80 price range plus the fact that it was a slim fit coat. The coat is very nice. It is a slim fit and I love how it fits me. I did have to size DOWN. I am 6' and 175 lbs and normally take a large in all of my coats but took a MEDIUM in this coat. Some reviewers noted that the jacket was "itchy" and not warm but I did not experience any itchiness and the jacket, while not a winter parka, was warmer than expected. I receive many compliments on it when I am wearing it. Minor issues is the weird strip of fabric behind the collar that other reviewers mentioned and I noticed that the material may pick up lint more than normal but nothing that a good lint roller can handle.

Another solid winner from Nautica
This jacket look even better in real life than in the stock picture. It's definitely a jacket dress to impress. The color is rich and deep, the texture look really smooth and polish and the material look really upscale. I carefully inspected the stitching, buttons and pockets lining and every little detail is perfect. My skin has always been sensitive to wool and it was my neck area itches a little the first day or two but now I get used to it. It's a heavy jacket so it's really warm and I like that I can cover my neck area unlike other men's over coat that I have. It's a heavy jacket so it keeps me warm even when temperature was 31 degrees the other day and windy. But it's not overly heavy like my other full length overcoats. And because it is not a full length coat it makes it much easier to get in and out of cars. This high quality coat definitely does the Nautica name justice and I am really glad I paid a little more for this coat than other brand that I was considering. It's definitely worth the money and I trust that it will serve me well for many years to come.

Extra little details including interior pockets make this coat a great buy for the price
We bought this coat for our 24 year old son as a Christmas gift. He absolutely loves it. It came on a hanger, which was nice, and aside from cutting a few stray threads around the zipper area (I highly recommend that you inspect the zipper area carefully to avoid derailing) I was happy with the quality, weight and construction of the product. This coat isn't wool or even a wool blend. I knew that going into the purchase. We live in a climate that isn't extremely cold but we do have some cold damp days. It is perfect for our weather. Even though it is made of polyester it still requires dry cleaning according to the label. I suspect that is because of the nylon lining. Be advised of the dry clean only requirement prior to purchase. Most coats this style will require dry cleaning so this didn't affect our decision to purchase it. One of the great features of this coat is that along with the four outer pockets there are two additional inside pockets, too. The pockets are roomy which comes in handy with the larger phones people use these days. Yes, our son has one and was happy about the extra pockets. The zipper, although not metal, worked well once I removed a few stray strings. I can't attest to how long it will hold up because I'm doubtful that it'll see much use. The toggles, which are a nice feature, and give this coat a classy more expensive look, work really well. They are sturdy and will hold up well as will the hood which serves it's purpose on rainy days and our rare days of snow. I don't know about the other colors but the charcoal is working out well for our son. His prior navy colored coat was a magnet for lint and dog hair. I always felt tempted to run a lint brush across it and sometimes gave in to the temptation. Not so with this color. Every time that we've seen him he's had it on and it always looks neat and free of fur. I wasn't sure what to expect with this coat, which I purchased on a deal of the day, but it certainly met our expectations. We've bought other items of clothing made by Nautica and have always been happy with them. This coat is no exception. It had a few little details including piping on the pockets, the two-toned toggles, and other stitching that gave it a classy look. For the price, it was probably one of the best deals that we picked up during the holiday season. I highly recommend it. Even at the price of $109 which it is currently being offered at it's a good value.

Not bad for the money.
So this jacket is a modern slimmer cut interpretation of the classic pea coat. Where a traditional pea coat is large and boxy in order to fit over several layers, this coat fits more like a sportcoat. I'm 6'1", 196 lbs. I wear a 44R suit coat with 34W pants. I wanted a slimmer fitting pea coat for the less chilly days when a t-shirt or button down was being worn. This coat sizing is perfect for that. Shoulder seams fall perfectly and it is just roomy enough through the waist. If I wanted to wear a sweater or layer thicker clothing, this would be too tight and I would wear a traditional cut pea coat. Length is on par with the length you would find on a suit or sport jacket. The material is a softer, lighter weight, tighter woven fabric. Again warm enough for cool days, probably want something heavier if your in a colder climate or just don't tolerate cold very well. The underside of the collar has a bit of the same material used to line the jacket sewn in as a contrast. Not sure whether I like it or not, but this is a design choice and is only seen if you pop the collar to seal up your neck. Now as others have mentioned the quality control is a little off. The right side lower buttons are sewn through to the inside causing and odd constriction near the pocket. It is not sewn through the pocket and is easily remedied by removing the thread and restitching the buttons. For $80 or less, I feel this is a good coat that can have the minor QC issues easily remedied. For any higher cost or for a true original sizing or warmth level, keep looking. I already own a traditional cut wool pea coat, so this fit my needs at a reasonable price point. I would recommend this coat to others with the same needs as I.

Beautiful Pea Coat - Great fit!
Beautiful pea coat. My husband loves it but I think it needs some breaking in - this coat will last a lifetime if you take good care of it. Definitely keep a lint roller on hand if you have pets!

Great coat for a great price!
Very happy with this purchase. I would definitely recommend buying this coat. I bought this coat for my son, he is very tall and the coat fit him very well in the arms and the body. Very pleased with the great quality and price of this coat. I had read the previous reviews about it fitting big so I bought a size smaller than normal. I would recommend buying a size down, my son normally wears XL and the Large fits him well and it is still roomy for him to wear a heavy sweater.

Wicked winter coat!
Awesome coat and ive only had it for a few days. Have had multiple people ask me where and how much I have spent on the coat!! The only drawback is the buttons. In the matter of one day I lost one. The sewing on the buttons is minimal but believe me for the price of this coat it is an absolute steal!! Just sew the buttons a little better yourself or have someone you know do it! Absolutely great coat!!
