This fan mounted perfectly to the drawer to exhaust the built-up heat and comes on via the laptop's USB when powered on. I had to extend the wire a bit, as the wire that it comes with is pretty short at about 6" or so. My gaming laptop now stays cool to the touch after adding this fan. Before installing, I had to at least pop the drawer open a bit to vent the heat out, and you could feel the heat dissipating from the drawer. Great fan, it's just a bit loud for as small as it is. EDIT: I added an inline controller to be able to adjust the fan speed level.
