This was very helpful during my surgical recovery. It is somewhat big for the tub I have. However, I made it work so I could get in and out of the tub and shower without much difficulty. It's nice having the ability to set on the bench and then slide into to shower area. Very good product.

So impressed with this bath bench! Easy to put together or change the height of the legs or back. Sturdy and very well made, it allows the user to sit down and put legs into tub while supported instead of having to get into a tub and THEN sit down. So the safety factor is huge! It also helps with independence as no one has to hold onto the person getting into the tub, the bench makes it more manageable to do oneself. I definitely recommend this item and was happy with the price as well.

Great product! It’s a bit bulky, but also very sturdy. Easy transfer from outside the tub to be able to shower! I can’t wait to bring it home and put it in my shower until I’m fully recovered!

This product works as described and gives me a lot of freedom to shower with a broken leg. I was concerned about two things, is it tall enough for my overlarge tub and the ability to keep the bathroom from getting wet. My tub edge and shower door rail are indeed too high for this chair. Instead of the outside feet sitting on the floor, the structure under the seat sits on the shower door rails. it is very stable that way. The chair then tilts very slightly into the tub - this helps with drainage. A lot of reviews complained about the challenge of water getting everywhere. I found a solution that works very well. My wife bought a fabric shower curtain (I don't think a vinyl curtain will work for this). After we hung it up we found a method that works well for me. Tuck some of the shower curtain into the slot between the first and second of the three plastic seat elements. In my case this is just inside the edge of the tub. Make sure the curtain naturally falls to that spot by tucking the curtain into the slot at the right height. You don't want the shower curtain to hang outside of the tub or around the end of the chair. This way nearly all of the water runs right into the tub. If you shoot the shower right at that spot for long some water will get through so adjust the shower angle to avoid a direct shot. I always put a towel down outside the tub but most of the time it doesn't get wet.

The assembly was pretty easy, I only pinched my thumb once putting one of the legs together, be careful as a little tricky there! Otherwise I really enjoyed sitting on this assembled shower bench. The height is good for a 5’10” lady and it was quite comfortable as far as the width. Don’t necessarily need the back rest but some people might. Overall I would recommend this bench!

Hello. I read a number of reviews for this product. Many commented on how easy the assembly was. They do not do it justice! This shower bench takes ease of assembly to new heights. REALLY !!! I am an absolute clutz on assemblying anything. Five minutes into the process I stopped and thought something was wrong - it can't be this easy. Ten minutes into the routine and the box was broken down and heading to the recycle bin. It certainly seems to be very solid and well made. I am stunned, but, so far, very happy!!

There was a problem adjusting the bench but once adjusted the bench works well for showering.

This shower transfer bench really helped me in showering after recover from a very badly broken ankle (both sides of the ankle). The bench went into tub on one end extended out onto bathroom floor on the other end so was able to slide in and out of tub/shower independently. Extremely stable and level with adjustable legs. Sturdy. Very safe. Able to transfer independently. Comfortable with back support. Easy to wipe down and clean after use even when injured. Not a lot of nooks and crannies to clean out. Simple safe design for tub/shower transfer. I also bought one of those battery powered scrubbers on a pole to keep tub clean. Between both, turned bathing from a huge problem into a highlight of my day during that time. Appreciate your focus on quality and safety. I would highly recommend this transfer bench for sturdy reliable safety and easy care.

This is an excellent item, which I took when my aunts were here. It is very light. It completely helped me and it’s very easy to dismantle.

I had previously purchased a smaller shower chair and I felt so scared to use it. I saw this one and decided to try it out as I have a broken ankle. It was so simple to put together, and it fits over my very deep soaker tub wall no problem! The suction cups that go into the tub are very strong and sturdy. I can't even say how grateful I was once I used this as I feel I gained back a large part of my independence. The seat backing can go on either side, and the rail is sturdy enough to use to pull yourself back onto the bench. I would buy this again in heartbeat! It has a weight limit of 400 lbs!

As a result of a fractured leg, I required a transfer bench. The first one shipped was defective. The end of the frame beneath the seat was misshaped (wasn't round so the "A" leg wouldn't fit into the frame). To make a long story short, do not call Medline. if you have a defective Medline product, you must contact Amazon, not the manufacturer. A chat was initiated with Amazon. As I currently cannot drive to return the useless 3-legged bench to Amazon, the service rep reached out to their CS team lead and they waived the return policy and authorized a replacement bench be shipped. The bench arrived before the guaranteed delivery date, was promptly assembled and used. Medline lost one start due to defective frame. Amazon receives five stars (despite the shipping issue (see below)). Thank you to the empathetic Amazon Customer Service rep and team lead!.
