We live in the country, so I wanted a thicker tarp to put under our 18 ft., Bestway pool. This works perfectly! The quality and thickness was much better than I expected!! It is thick enough to protect the pool and our feet from any stickers, small rocks, etc. I ordered the silver, heavy duty-10 ml, 20-foot tarp (19.6 x 19.4 finished size), which allows enough room to place the pump on one side and the ladder near the corner on the opposite side. In addition, it left plenty of room to stand barefoot with our children and leave our shoes near the ladder. (I had planned to put a small tarp near the ladder, so we would have plenty of room to stand and dry off, but it hasn't been necessary.) I used 8 metal stakes to hold the edges down, since the wind whips a bit here at times, and I wanted to keep the the edges down, so we could protect our bare feet! There are many more metal grommets available, however, on each side, if needed for tie-down, stakes, etc. I ordered the “Used-like new,” (the packaging had been damaged), since it was much cheaper. The tarp itself had never been unfolded and was in perfect condition!! (Thanks Amazon!) I highly recommend this tarp. It’s much nicer and thicker than others I’ve used. It would also be great for covering items, camping, etc. I will purchase one of these, again, whenever I need a good, strong tarp. UPDATE: We used this tarp for an entire season, which ended around the end of October! I did use simple stakes on the corners and one stake in the middle of each side, because of the size of the tarp and our country wind! I swept the tarp with a regular broom, when needed, and it worked well. The only issue we had was when the lawn mower got a little too close to one edge! Oops! However, after 2-3 more months of use, after the incident, the tear NEVER increased in size! I plan to use the tarp again next year and will buy another, when needed!!

Very good quality tarp. The fit/measurement was perfect. Unlike other brands this tarp properly sized. Around my canopy frame the tarp to metal tubing was exactly 6 inches all around. Was able to use 12in bungee cords.

Has held up to multiple storms.

I bought a new car in the spring of 2017 and was not going to leave it to the weather like the others. I had to take my 3 lawn tractors out of the garage. Where to put them out of the weather? I bought a 12x16 Blue Mountain heavy duty tarp (silver) @ Lowe's and hung it off of the back porch lean to fashion. It worked, but couple of months later back to Lowe's for another because the eyelets had been torn out from wind and the weight of some rain. Same thing with the second and 3rd. The sun summer sun burned the silver color blue mountain material nearly to dust. I've used others tarps to cover fire wood etc. and none of them were any better. Then after the 3rd blue mountain I ordered 2 of these tarps on Amazon. The first has been up since last November (2017). All last winter and all this summer and it is still working fine. I had to use 2 x 4s to prop up the center to help with rain pooling and it didn't puncture theses tarps. These suckers are tough. One full year and still no tares and summer didn't burn it up! The second is sitting in the shed for when I need it. THEY ARE VERY GOOD TARPS and less expensive than others. If you need a good tarp I highly recommend this one! Update 2-26-18: I has now been through it's second winter hanging lean to fashion off the back porch. Holding up very well still. I've put 2 small tears in it (my fault) but they've yet to rip larger with wind or weather. The second is still in the shed waiting.

Ok so here is what this tarp is being used for. My grandpa lives in the central valley of California. It gets hot (triple digits every summer for several months) and windy. It gets really cold in the winter time and rains. His jeep is parked under a little carport he made with pipes. He's is using tarps for the roof. He replaces the tarps every six months to a year. The last tarps we put up didn't last 3 months. I bought 2 of these in hopes they will last longer than three months (so far they have). I will update in six months increasing the stars if they hold or decreasing if they don't. If these last a year. Or longer. I will provide 5 stars and purchase two more. If they don't. I will take my business elsewhere. Edit: So it is now January 2019. These tarps are great! It has been just over a year since we purchased them. They have been through a 100+ degree summer. And two 20-degree winter, and like any product, it has shown. At the very top where the ridge pole is there is a hole that I had to quick mend with some duct tape before the winds did more damage. The material is starting to degrade which is exactly what I would expect given the application. The area around the tie down holes show some sign of ripping, But where I live we get a lot of high winds in the winter time, so they have held up pretty well all things considered. Overall, given the application. This tarp has the potential to last an extremely long time. This long term testing had the tarp stretched to its max for over a year. 5/5 stars. Will be purchasing again.

I have purchased this silver tarp , size 10’x 20’ to cover my hydro pool hot tub over the winter and protect the insulated cover from the elements and prevent water or snow getting into the hotub. The description for this product is accurate, measured actual overall dimensions and 9’7” x 19’9”, close enough for me for what I needed. Most important part that I liked is that offers good protection and is waterproof. The grommets seem to be good quality, and resistant with pulling bungee cords, they are installed on all four sides of the tarp at 18” apart. Also, has reinforced corners. Overall, excelent quality from manufacturing perspective, great value and no defects found.

Took it camping to put a cover over my tent. Didn’t rain but heavy dew which seeped through tarp. I brushed my head against tarp and water came through. I have other tarps that keep water out this one does not. Very disappointed will be throwing it away as it is not fit for purpose.

Using it to cover my portable care port now for two years , and it has lasted as long as the original cover for a fraction of the cost.
