I have used this scent for years with both real shrimp bait and artificials.

Pro-Cure works, I'm a true believer and have several bottles of this stuff in my saltwater and freshwater tackle bags. Fish have an amazing sense of smell, better than Labrador Retrievers or Bloodhounds. Fish are very simple animals. They like comfortable water, making baby fish, and eating. Good fishermen take all 3 factors into consideration, especially the eating part. Getting a fish to bite your bait or lure is the challenge. So give them a "taste" of what they are wanting. Shrimp is a good saltwater scent (also good for freshwater catfish) because almost everything you want to catch likes to eat shrimp. I truly believe it not only helps fish bite and "take" the bait or lure, it also helps the fish "find" the bait or lure in any kind of water conditions which in turn increases your "catching" rate. Four stars because it is a little pricey... but it does help with landing fish.

Open this package outside when you receive it! Mine came with the cap partially unscrewed and half the contents leaked all over the bag! I had to throw it out it stunk so bad! That’s unfortunate because this stuff is awesome for steelhead!

I used this oil for only one purpose, to amp up the attractiveness of shrimp as a spring tautog bait. The season hasn't been a good one so the trial may not be fair. That said, the oil soaked shrimp did no better than the usual clam baits, or the untreated shrimp.
