I like this coffee because it tastes really good and it has great packaging. It actually has a solid plastic seal on the front so you can seal it up air tight, keeping it fresh. It's the kind of seal that is used on high-quality freezer bags. This keeps air out and doesn't ruin your coffee over time. It also has the one-way valve on the front that lets out the CO2 that is coming out of the coffee, but it keeps the air out. Very important! Other bulk coffees come in a large bag with no plastic seal on the front. You have to cut a hole in the bag and then hope they included the big bag tie to try to seal it up. It never works out well, and as you go down the bag, you end up covering the one-way valve on the front of the bag on other bulk coffees. Coffee is expensive these days. I recommend this product to to flavor and quality packaging.

This is our go-to coffee. I love the whole bean Italian roast, and even though my wife usually prefers a lighter coffee, she loves this one as much as I do. It is smooth, full of flavor, and not bitter at all. We have tried other roasts from the same brand, but this Italian roast is our personal favorite. We keep re-ordering it because it consistently tastes great and is perfect for brewing at home. On top of that, it is a great value for the quality you get. If you like a rich, flavorful coffee that is not overpowering, this Italian roast is hard to beat.

This coffee is so fresh and so delicious! As soon as you open the bag, the rich aroma of dark chocolate cocoa and caramel intoxicated my nose. I use a French press and I grind it course. The flavor extraction is supreme in just 4 mins. I only need 5 TBSP for 3/4 of a 50 oz press. This creates a velvety, full flavor cup of coffee that completely irresistible. If I accidentally wake up in the middle of the night, it is very hard for me to resist pressing a fresh carafe and get my day started. I've failed this mission several times. Bottom line: you will not be disappointed. This coffee hits the spot EXACTLY the way coffee is meant to. 😋

My bag was either old or this was NOT a dark roast. The price was very low, under $10 a pound for a dark, Italian roast coffee. I thought the low cost was due to the fact that I had to buy a 5-lb bag. Unfortunately, now I'm stuck with 5 pounds of flavorless coffee. I took a photo of the beans as they came out of the bag. These are definitely not dark roasted. The taste isn't terrible, but the coffee flavor is very, very weak, maybe a little "tinny"----I think it's OLD.

This is a solid coffee for espresso. It pulls a decent shot with low acidity and pleasant notes of chocolate and stone fruit. To get the best results, use a fairly fine grind and a firm, even tamp—otherwise, the shot starts with a big head of crema that looks promising but then collapses midway through, leaving you with a lower yield (often around half what you’d expect). Once dialed in properly, though, it performs reliably.
