DAVID ARCHY Mens Modal Boxer Briefs Second Skin Trunks Underwear 3/4/7 Pack

I'm in my early 60's and at 5-11 and 175 have kept myself in shape for the majority of my life. Currently, I wear size 36 jeans but the fit me very loose at the wasitline. I have spent the last two years getting rid of my cotton underwear and switching over to bamboo boxers. They are nice & I love the bamboo blend material but the boxers are a little to baggy for me. So Ive switched to bamboo blend and/or micromodal/modal in trunk or boxer brief which I really enjoy wearing. I never thought I would be doing a review on mens underwear but these new versions are very nice and just flat out comfortable to wear plus the wife thinks I look sexy in 'em. When I got the bamboo boxer briefs and trunks I was really jazzed. When I got the first modal trunks that was even better but these DA micromodal are just outstanding even when I compare the inside stitching, DA just does a very good job of quality control. I had just ordered another highly rated modest priced modal underwear here on Amazon and both pairs were defective and one already had a small hole by the seam. Thank goodness Amazon worked with me on this to get it settled (as usual)! But I digress, back to DA, this four pack at this price is an incredible buy when you compare it to the price of one similar CK trunk. The fit and feel of these DA micromodal is outstanding. As far as longevity, we'll see......... For the money and quality, DA is at the top of my list when it comes to similar underwear imported into the US. DA and Hoerev are quickly becoming some of my favorite bamboo and modal/micromodal boxer briefs and trunks!! Also, much thanks to other reviewers who said to order up a size then what you wear normally. Typically I always buy large but bought the XL for these DA trunks and they fit very comfortable with no squeeze at the waistband nor is the waistband to loose......I just wish DA had more colors for their underwear!!!

It took me two tries at ordering to get the right size. I'm 5' 11", weigh about 174 lbs. with a measured waist of 35.5 inches. That waist puts me in between medium and large although a bit closer to large. First time around I ordered large and while they were OK in the waist, they were too loose in the legs. I ordered the medium size and those are just right in both the waist and legs. The material is soft and comfortable and breathes well.. The quality is there and they seem to be well made. Time will tell if they hold up in the long run but I see no reason they won't.

I have had a set of these trunks for a couple months now, and have been fairly happy with them. They fit well, and are extremely comfortable. Not the most comfortable I've ever worn, but definitely better than your average or even medium/high end stuff. Only 2 small complaints I have so far: 1) A small has formed on the very bottom each pair, where the seams meet. The hole formed after only a few times wearing each pair, but has not grown - it's a little smaller than a dime. 2) The gold "tags" make the underwear look feminine, at least for the red/blue ones, not sure about other colors - I had them jokingly referred to as "silk panties". Not exactly a problem with the product... but you get my point! Overall, these are great to wear daily, and do not regret having purchased a set - but I'm still on the fence about buying more of these "silk panties"

I am glad to see that the pattern design was refined and this brand has reclaimed a higher level of quality. Pros: - The waste band is a thinner design (~1 - 1.5 in) that I find more comfortable; IF the band rolls, it is not noticeable and doesn't make you all frigidity trying to fix it. - Fitted design. - Good material; wares well and breaths; doesn't feel spandexy. Cons: None at the moment. I ordered these, having an older variety, ordered larger than I expected and I am glad I did...they are NOT overly large, but do run just a bit on the smaller size. I would personally order up of you run on the top side of the sizing chart versus landing somewhere on the lower size.

EDIT 10/8/17: Just to be clear, while I have a few issues with the product (see original review below), I still find it to be a decent buy for the price. Not everyone can afford the expensive CK underwear, so these would be good for you if you don't mind the inferior pouch and just want some silky, soft underwear; they're great for that. I'm not a huge fan of this particular trunk (when compared to the CK's), but I would like to try the kind with the seperate pouches to see how I like those, as I don't believe CK has a model like that. The material these are made of is very soft and silky, and they seem durable enough, however in my opinion, they cannot compare to the Calvin Klein modal trunks. I find those to have an even more comfortable material than these, as there is a higher modal to elasticine content in those. However, the main issue with these is the contour pouch. While both trunks have a double/thicker layer of fabric at the crotch for obvious reasons, the CK brand has both layers connected at the seams, while the David Archy ones just have two separate layers of fabric. This means that if one layer of the fabric gets misaligned, the entire point of the pouch is lost, as they can become tighter and uncomfortable in that area of this happens. And it can happen often; just by making normal movements around the office for example. Also, the waistband is a lot narrower than the CK brand, and it makes them feel a bit more constricting in that area. Other than that, they have a comfy material, and you obviously get more product for your money, since a 4-pack of these costs the same as one of the CK pairs; however I cannot recommend these over the alternative, pricey as they may be. I think the boys and I will be more comfortable in the Calvin Klein brand.

So soft & fit great

Up till I had discovered these I wore several types Adidas sport underwear that fit just likes these except tighter. They were great for wicking sweat and keeping you dry but they had two issues. First they chaffed, and second they begin to stink after about 12 hours. The micro-Modal while it doesn’t dry as fast, It wiks just as good, is incredibly comfortable, and can be worn for up to 3 days with very little stink. Even when it does smell, it doesn’t have that horrible under armor odor. As long as they keep making this particular style and fabric combination I can’t ever see myself buying anything else again. I have been surprised at how well these hold up but there is a key to keeping them soft, do not put them in the dryer! I wash these on gentle with cold water and a higher end detergent, and then hang them up to dry. About every 4 -5 washes I will also soak them in vinegar for about 35-40 minutes (1cup/ 3 gallons of water).

Definitely more comfortable than the cheaper stuff I normally get. Have held up very well in the 10 months since purchase, still very much like new. Maybe I need to wash my underwear more often.. Overall happy with the purchase, they were a bit pricey but everything is and I'm cheap.

They are comfortable and stylish and the fabric is soft and nicely stitched.

The puch to hold your manhood has a large seam down the ce ter that rubs and irritates. Not recommended
