## Questions & Answers

**Q: What kind of batteries does this toy work with (The copter and the controller)? Do the batteries come with the toy? Thanks**
A: The quadcopter itself is powered by a non-standard battery with a JST plug. The remote is powered by standard batteries (AA or AAA, I forget which). The toy comes with one JST battery for the quadcopter and a charger for it.

**Q: how do you know when it is fully charged?**
A: The light on the battery charger is red when charging and turns green when fully charged. If I remember correctly it takes about 2 hours for a dead battery to fully charge. If the charge time is substantially less there is a good chance the battery is not making a good connection to the charger as it also shows a green light when nothing is hooked up.

**Q: 3 or 4 channel?**
A: Throttle and 3 axis, so 4.

**Q: Does this come with the controller, battery, and charger?**
A: There is one LiPo battery for the copter and it has a charger. The supplied controller will require alkaline AA batteries. The V929 is a very good flyer and makes a great 4 Ch trainer for when one moves up to single blade 4 Ch heli like the V911.

    Binds to Flysky/Turnigy TH9x/9x easily

*by N***D on Reviewed in the United States on August 17, 2013*

This little quad is on the cheaper side, so I figured I'd pick it up for messing around when my DJI F450 is too big or my Hubsan X4 is broken (like right now). It's a DOG with the stock Tx. The only reason to use that is for the insta-flips when it's in 100% flying mode, though the lack of real control gets old quick. The sticks on the stock Tx are bad, but if you happen to have a 9ch Turnigy or Flysky (same thing) laying around this thing really wakes up. I haven't tried it yet, but I bet if I set the endpoints to 120% I can get insta flip mode back, I'm just not entirely sure I even want it.The v929 is the same size as the v949 and v959. It's larger than the v939, and considerably larger than my hubsan X4. Obviously it's quite a bit smaller than my 450mm quadrotor. I want to say this one is about 180mm.Battery life is surprising. I havent officially measured it yet, but it seems to be around 8-10 minutes with aggressive flying which is very good. The hubsan gets around 5-6, and the dji 450 gets around 10 with a 2200mah 3s. This v929 could easily be longer than 10, but I was expecting 6 so it was very surprising to see it go well over that. That was with LOTS of flipping, so you cant really drain the battery faster than that.Durability wise, well, to be frank I don't really crash much. I did hit the deck posts when I first tried it because the beginning mode is 20% and you literally get no elevator or aileron. I also throttled into my hands a few times before I figured out I had the mode wrong on my th9x and also needed to reverse the throttle. So while the gears may look weak compared to direct drive, they actually have some strength AND give to them which is a good combo. Also the plastic gearing should save the motors should you full throttle into something and forget to throttle down.I flew my buddy's Syma X1 today and was very disappointed in the sluggish aileron, but that could easily change once he gets his Turnigy 9xr and binds it. But out of the box, the v929 flew better and was more fun. Being in the same price range I figured that might be a helpful comparison for someone considering the two.All in all, it was a good buy that I'll most likely make again should something dire befall the current one.Update: This thing is tough. The dogs have taken to chasing it, and if it can take repeated mid-air bites from a 90 pound doberman then I'd say it passes the durability test. A good upgrade for it is a set of GWS 5443 props. They give it a noticeable amount of additional thrust.

After several tries, I returned it

Problem? It keeps leaning one side, no matter what trimming job I did. Maybe, mine was defected one. Anyhow, I had to return it right away.

Not for the Novice - No Instructions

*by J***M on Reviewed in the United States on October 17, 2013*

This thing may be great for those who fly toys alot. I read a lot of complimentary reviews that made this sound like a simple entry level product. However, for someone with no experience with this sort of thing it really is sort of a waste of time. You are in a race to not destroy the thing before you get the hang of it. The throttle, if that is what it is is too sticky to smoothly control it and hover right away. Once you get the knack of that you also have the problem of the trims constantly needing adjusting and no instructions for that. It is not fair to give you this with so little support and guidance. If you have a large indoor space to practice in you might be able to figure it our for yourself before it breaks but I doubt it since it breaks so easily.
