Madeleine (French Edition)

Am using this book with a young student. The story is charming, the book is attractive & colorful. Foreign Books took great care in packaging. Appreciate their service very much.

I liked that I was able to obtain this book in French. It is a gift for a French speaking child in Africa. It is a very nice story about 12 little French orphan girls and their instructress.

I really enjoy Madeleine books. Best told in French, of course :) My little one loves it :) We read a lot, and I try to read in both English and French when I can :)

This classic children’s story never disappoints. My almost-three yr. old granddaughter already has the English version in her library, but now I look forward to reading the French version to her. As a retired French teacher, I know well that it’s never too early for a child to begin learning a second language!

I purchased this book as a gift for a four and a half year old relative. I was very pleased with the quality of the book as well as the fact that the book was the full story. I wold have liked the book to have been a little larger, however, I purchased the book knowing the measurements as they had been described in the product description, so that is not the fault of the company. Overall, I am happy with this book as is the child who received it!

Small but cute

Excellent premier livre pour en enfant

Acheté pour ma copine qui voulait ce livre qu'elle lisait quand elle était petite. Elle est très contente du cadeau qui lui rappelle de son enfance. J'attendais moins de la qualité du livre mais les pages sont très bien imprimées et d'une très bonne finition et qualité. J'ai mis ma main pour avoir des approximations de la taille du livre.

We are a bilingual family, living and working in French and English. We bought 3 of these books for our daughter's family now that she has a little girl of her own and is trying to raise her in a bilingual environment. She had these books when she was young -- and we still have them, but tattered. We were a little disappointed that the size of these books is much smaller than the old ones, which were about 20x30 cm. These ones are only about 15x15 cm. So there is less impact for the child. But we are happy with the books.
