Does it work upside down

Never tried it and it is not advertised as such. Also the pen requires the liquid ink to move down the pen so very unlikely that it will work. Obviously there would be a little residue ink on the nib but nowhere near enough to write properly.

I've used these when measuring up for jobs externally and if it rains it will "smudge" .so I would say no..
