I had two deer that I prepared for grinding, all in all there was 25lbs of meat in my grind. When we first started grinding the plate was getting plugged constantly with the silver skin of the deer and I had barely left any on there, ask my wife she will tell you I wasted the hole deer judging by my waste bucket! After cleaning the plate and blade twice it is like the machine found its stride and ferociously ground the remaining 20lbs of meat effortlessly. It seemed to work best to just slowly drop meat chunks in the feed tube and almost let the weight of the meat push itself through, just keep the tube full. It is powerful enough to grind through most tissue. No bones however, which is just fine for me as I want to make ground beef and sausage. Works well for that purpose. If you are concerned about clean up, I discovered that clean up is quite easy if you use a pressurized garden hose to get the meat bits off the components and then wash them in in the sink to get any grease off. If you just go straight to the sink, you get a morass of grease, fat and meat gloppy material that just sticks to the metal components.
