Other TechLites (including a previous TA8 that I purchased, come with a hand strap. Maybe it sounds petty, but it makes a difference to me. Review: Bright, Compact, Sturdy (But See Edits) - Excellent small flashlight. Extremely bright, with a much bigger, well focused beam than you might expect from such a small device. It stays bright for more than an hour on standard AAA batteries. We liked ours so much that we got five more as stocking stuffers for family members. Edit (1/27/16): I deducted a star, because the switch stopped working, except for the "low" beam setting. I still like the flashlight, but durability might be a problem. Edit: 5/5/16-- It stopped working entirely. Most people who buy flashlights are interested in its illumination potential. Pound for pound, this packs quite a punch. I purchased this for my vehicle to make sure if I am ever stranded I am not stranded in the dark. This is compact enough to never be in the way, but powerful enough that I don't even desire a bigger or more expensive flashlight. It has 3 settings: regular, super-bright, and strobe. The button to turn it on and off is on the bottom. It has a textured grip to prevent slipping from your hand. I could see this being a perfect solution for camping, or kept in a purse for late night walks thru the parking lot, left in the glove box of your car, or in a backpack for survival usage. I looked around, and didn't find a better value than this at the time I purchased it.
