I work at a call center and we have to wear masks and these have been saving my ears. They are long which is super useful for reaching between the straps. They did slip a little over my hair when it was down but getting my hair up and into a ponytail fixed that. And they seriously saved my ears. They are comfortable and their length meant that the mask wasn’t digging into my face. Plus they’re soft to the touch which is very nice.

This particular strap sits on your neck under your hair. I have short hair so I have zero issue with it pulling my hair. This strap will NOT stay on the back of your head. If you're looking for that look elsewhere. This is not the product for you. I picked this particular strap because I was looking for a more comfortable solution to wearing my mask all day every day at work. The constant pressure of the straps digging into and tugging my ears was giving me a headache. (It took me almost 5 months to realize things like this exist) If you're like me and can't wear headbands (they shoot right off my head) with the buttons sewn on the sides then give this a try. The only issue I've had with this strap is it will pull your mask down a bit. I cannot wear a certain brand of surgical mask because the metal nose piece is thicker than other brands. It made the metal band dig into my nose. I am perfectly fine with another brand with a thinner metal nose piece.

I am 5ft 10" and a male. I put the mask on the longest holder of the strap and slide the mask over my head above my ears. I wear hearing aids and glasses. This way the strap holds the mask above everything else and is quite comfortable. I just don’t understand all the complaining. The only downside to these is the limitations of the holders in that they will not accommodate a thick loop. But I have a cloth mask that it works just fine with and it’s great with paper masks. I guess if your head is extra large it may not work for you as it is somewhat on the small side, but I would say my head is average size. More and more I find you just can’t believe so many of the reviews. I do not work for this company nor any other for that matter.

Please read if you are buying these extenders for anything other than a surgical mask. With a surgical mask, the straps are pulled behind your ears and the mask fits properly with the extender around the back of your head. Also, the thin strings of the surgical mask work well with this mask extender. Thick straps do not hold well. Also, wearing the thick straps with the extender around the back of the neck ,as Jacinda showed, instead of the head does not allow the mask to fit properly. Our masks that looked similar to the pictures gapped at the bottom. Since I did not buy this for surgical masks, I am giving it a rating of a three. It would have been nice to understand how this extender worked best before I bought it. For me, it wasted my my time. Returns were accepted so it turned out okay.

All I can say is wow, much more than I expected. This is such a simple device to solve a annoying problem with wearing masks. I've been very pleased with her performance in my ears thank them. They take all the stress off your ears and make the masksmuch more comfortable. Even helps keep the mask from riding up under your eyes. This mask extender is exactly what I was looking for. Most masks, especially surgical masks, are too large for my face. This extender allows me to wear any mask comfortably. I no longer have to tie knots in the ear loops (which then pull on my ears) to get the mask to fit. The extender is soft and comfortable against the skin. I don't even know that I am using it. I highly recommend this mask extender. It does its job very well!!!

Works as expected for the most part. Can be a bit tricky keeping the extender in place while trying to put on the mask.

Excellent fit. Wore a mask with these attached and my ears never hurt. Comfortable all day. Mask stayed in place.
