Pasta Mancini Mezze Maniche (500 Gram (17.6 Ounce))

I’ve been splurging on different brands of artisan pastas imported from Italy to determine if some really are better than others and the answer is yes. These are superior to most brands available on US supermarkets. (Markets like Whole Foods do carry some bronze die imports.) This Mancini Mezze Maniche is basically the same as Mezzi - short - Rigatoni. It takes longer to reach al dente as it’s a sturdy thickness, but doesn’t fall apart like some lesser brands. The result is a satisfying chew. The shape is great for sauces with bits that can get trapped inside the tubes - capers, olives, tomatoes, raisins, tuna, bolognese, etc. I made it tonight with a cream sauce containing small cauliflower florets, pine nuts and bread crumbs and the Maniche trapped the ingredients perfectly. Have already purchased multiple times and plan to continue; maybe a long pasta like spaghetti best!

カルボナーラに使っています。 値段はしますが美味しいです。

美味しいです。 カチョエペペとカルボナーラを作りましたが、重いソースに負けない存在感がありパスタ自体の小麦の味もしっかり感じられて相性バッチリでした。 このパスタのカルボナーラはグアンチャーレが中に入るので一緒に噛みしめるとグアンチャーレのサクサク感と溢れ出る旨味が一緒に味わえて特にオススメです！(パンチェッタ等でも良いようですが、脂を出してしっかりカリカリにする事がポイントです)

合格点。あまり期待しなければ美味しい。

小ぶりなサイズで調理しやすく、食べやすいです。カルボナーラやボロネーゼソースの際に使用してますが、もう麺タイプには戻れません。もちっりとした食感と小麦の風味もあるのでお気に入りです。
