This worked perfectly for my cake setup. I used it with a round mold that is about 3.1 inches tall, and it fit really well. The material felt nice, thick enough to hold its shape well, but not so thick that it looked bulky around the cake. It created a nice clean side and gave the cake good support while I was assembling it. I used it for a 3-layer cake with frosting between the layers. My third layer came up a little below the top edge, which actually worked out well because I still had room to add frosting on top. It held everything nicely in place while I finished the cake. Overall, I’m happy with it and would use it again for layered cakes.

I used this cake collar to make my daughter’s birthday cake, and it made such a big difference. I actually bought this for crafting instead of baking, and it has worked perfectly. I use it as the clear backing for my cake toppers. I love that it comes in a roll because I only cut what I need for each project. With the 12”x12” acetate sheets, I always ended up wasting material. This has been much more practical and has lasted through a lot of projects. If you’re making cake toppers or other paper crafts, this is definitely a great option.

I don't use these for cakes. So as far as a review for how they do with cakes this is not that. I use these cake collars in my plant hobby, I make my own D Shaped moss poles for my tropical climbing plants to grow on, and for this use, they are exactly what I wanted. A lot of folks buy sheets of acetate to do this, and the roll is so much more convenient, and a better bang for your buck. And the fact that they come in different widths, really allows me to make Moss poles of all sizes. I find the thickness to be great as well for this use. It is very sturdy, and really helps to give your pole even more support without needing a stake to stabilize until you start adding extensions and making the poles over 4ft. It's very clear, and very easy to clean with Isopropyl Alcohol without compromising the sheet. My only complaint is I have seen cheaper rolls from other brands on this platform, around $4 cheaper for the exact same size and everything. But I am extremely happy with my purchase and that it fully exceeded my expectations for my use of it. So I'm sharing my secret now, or cheaper hack I guess, if there are any bakers on here that are also plant collectors.

Arrived in an open box. Looks like someone had previously used/cut the plastic sheet roll. The material itself was sturdy and came with tape.

I've used this to create various shapes of chocolate: discs, curls, cylinders and so on and it works really well.

Works perfectly, flexible and easy to work with. Nice for mousse filled cakes. Cones with sticky dots to hold collar in place. Delivery was fast same day! I recommend these cake collars
