Slap 3x AAA batteries in it, turn volume down, select tone and re-adjust volume, turn it on and point it where you need it. It is "locally" loud, but not Super Loud; it would definitely wake you up if you're within an unimpeded 100'. The hinge allows approx 240 degree range in approx 20 degree increments, all the way to approx 30 degrees below parallel in either direction. Setting this on a stair run pointing down the stairs is stable and works great to cover the stairs too. Range is short- 10-15'. Smallest configured Size: approx: 2.5x3x3" Great little motion sensor alarm for anywhere you need. Great to enhance security at Hotels, BnB's, even camping!

works well as alarm in my moms safe. So if someone unauthorized opens it the alarm waits a few seconds for disarming and then goes off.

My female cat keeps pee on our sofa. She does pee only on sofa. This was my last string to stop her habit. I bought waterproof pee pads and put this stand-alone sensor right in front of both sofa. SO FAR SO GOOD. Just like other reviews, the alarm and red flushing light is enough to scare her when she walks in the sensor area. You can choose the sound and volume. I use most annoying alarm but not highest volume. I recommend this alarm. There were a few unknown alarming so far but I can easily tolerate.

$10 Junk. Bought to deter dogs from Xmas tree. Did nothing to deter them. At highest volume, the alarm is low even when set in a room with marble floors. Doesn’t come with a power cord either. Save your $10 and your time.

I have had a problem with one of my dogs peeing in the exact same spot for the last three months and I have tried everything to stop this with no result. My two dogs have 100% access to the outside through a doggie door and he only did this at night when i was asleep, i never caught him doing it. I said all of that so say that this device has 100% stopped this activity and it did it in two nights. Yeah it woke me up but at least I did not face a clean-up and sterilization in the morning. I spent 10 times this much on products trying to stop this...

I love this doorbell. It has two volume settings, high and low both are very clear and loud. It has a wonderful range and a good selection of tones to choose from. I know the moment someone steps on to my sidewalk. I love that it is portable. I love that I can use a plug or batteries. The plug is not included in the one I purchased. Seems sturdy. I found it to be an amazing deal. I came back and bought 2 more.

There is a good range of sounds, and it does all it is advertised to do. Only drawback is after turning off, it forgets what sound and volume you had chosen, so when you turn it back on you have to press through to the right volume and sound all over again.

The product was faulty. The chime would ring continuously. The batteries were new and the device positioned at a safe distance but rang repeatedly. I bought a replacement from a local Bunnings and it works brilliantly. I tossed the Amazon product out. I will be very particular and selective with all my future Amazon purchases:(
