Good Product, used with stainless steel paint
I couldn't find a stainless fridge to match the dimensions of the hutch in my kitchen. So what the heck I thought, I'll just paint my old one with an oil-based stainless steel paint and deal with the cheese factor until it breaks and I'm forced to do something else. Well, that worked great and hardly anyone notices that it's not a real stainless fridge, even when they're standing right next to it. This epoxy gave it the shine I was looking for and seems so strong I can't believe the paint underneath will EVER chip or wear off!

Looks like glass when fully cured
I’ve only used this epoxy resin once but I really like it. I make resin art pieces and I’ve used this to give an extra glossy coat to paintings and travertine tile coasters. As with all epoxy resin, you need to let it fully cure for at least 20 days before you set things on it— especially a hot mug. Otherwise you get dents and scratches. This is thick and shiny, which works brilliantly for coasters and embedded trays. After it fully cures, it looks like glass. Follow the instructions and you’ll be just fine. No epoxy resin is truly “easy to use” if you’re the kind of person to just wing it and not read. Please ignore the people who gave 3 or 4 stars because they didn’t know resin works. Ignorance on their part, does not have anything to do with the product.

Great stuff, fun to use!
This stuff works great and it's a lot of fun...but definitely mix it thoroughly. I use a bright flashlight right into the mix and this allows you to really see how well blended it is. I also saw some video's where people use a small torch to help remove air bubbles, I tried this and it works awesome...you just pass the torch about 4-5 inches away and you'll see the surface turn to glass-smooth. For the edge of tables I used tape to help reduce spill over the side but this was for the 2nd coat. Fun for projects, enjoy!

Finish is beautiful on my DIY chess board
First time user. Found by trial and error what the good and different were. If you follow the directions (which I did) the finish comes out beautifully shiny and smooth. My problem (it was my problem not the product's) was that I had a tiny gap between one of the rows and as the super glaze set, it made a small indentation. Luckily I saw it happen and kept filling the dent and also luckily I kept at it until and a bit before the remaining glaze set in its container. Directions warn about its setting/drying time being fast but experience is always handy in the future.

like 5ish. I waited the 72 hours before i ...
This stuff was relatively what i expected when i used it after watching tutorials. I made SURE that i measured it 100% accurately and mixed it very very well past the point that it went clear. I applied two coats to my project which was a bar top. I waited many hours in between coats, like 5ish. I waited the 72 hours before i attempted to put ANYTHING on the surface. First time i tried to place something on it...left an impression. Removed the item and in a few hours the surface was smooth again. Waited a week....same thing. Its been like 3 weeks now and it still seems to leave an impression when i place something on it. If I did anything wrong I am not aware of it. Also this did not have an expiration date that i could find it only said that it was only good for a year after you open it. The finished result looks really good I just wish I could put things on it.

easy to use
this kit was self explanatory on how to use it. i did see videos on YouTube to help me do the glitter part with the kit. i used it for a camper dinette table and it turned out beautiful. i put a plexiglass piece over the table to help it be preserved. it is not hard to do. i didnt really need to see a video on it. i recommend you use a respirator and wear gloves and a paint suit. it can get messy and you do not want to breathe it in

The product sold here is the original thing, packaged properly and everything. But epoxy glazing turned out to be very hard to do properly. Make sure you know what you are doing, and how much you’re actually going to need of it!
