I took off stars because the runner and place mats are very thin - just a single layer of fabric hemmed on the edges. These would not do a good job protecting the table underneath and are really just for decoration.The place mats are also on the small side and look more like rectangular napkins. There would be very little room for a dinner plate and glass, especially if you had a water glass and wine glass together.
