I have purchased three (3) of these MyPet Wire Mesh Pet Gates. There are EXCELLENT! I have one for each of the three (3) bedrooms in my house. My wire hair terrier gets into everything, so these gates do an excellent job of keeping him out of the bedrooms. The metal clip that locks the gate in place if pushed down all the way is a little tough to pull upward to release the gate, but that is ok. You only need to push the clip down a little to lock the gate in place. It is just as secure as if you pushed the clip all the way down to lock the arm. These are strong, durable, and great for the price. The are well built, with quality materials and it appears that they will last for a very long, long time. 100% satisfied with my three (3) MyPet Wire Mesh Pet Gates!

Works great - easy to open and close. Strong enough to last a while unlike a different gate that I purchased and this one is replacing.

A nice gate and worked well to block off an area to keep the dogs corralled. Easy to use right out of the box with a sturdy design. The only problem I had was with adjusting the size of how far the gate spreads out, it was tricky to readjust and once set it was relatively easy to knock out of the notch when opening the gate. Aside from that happy with the purchase.

I only wanted a sturdy gate that would keep our puppy confined to a certain room, & this gate has met those specifications & more. It was easy to install in the doorway-no tools required. This is wire, not plastic mesh, so it is very tight & sturdy. It is 31-32 inches high which worked perfectly for a lab puppy. Now he’s growing & can jump over the gate if he really wants to. We may have to lift the gate off the floor a little to raise the height, but then I’m not sure I would be able to step over it. I use a stool now. This gate does not have a gate that opens & at the time I wasn’t looking for that. But if you just need a gate to separate a small animal or child, it’s perfect!! Very well made & durable.

I like that this is the traditional baby gate I grew up with. It works well in smaller doorways. We purchased it to stretch across a hallway so we use it st the 44” length. At this size it is not sturdy and we have trouble getting the gate to open and close easily. It seems to bind up on the bottom and we have to move it to a wood floor to open more vs the carpeted area. Because we just step over it (using for puppy training with a dog that doesn’t push on it) it was working fine. Father in law came and he can’t step over it. Having to open and close the handle and gate was problematic and the metal latch comes down at an angle at that width so it cracked the wood bracket when he tried to close it, not realizing you have to push in to straighten it first. The fact that the wood bar was weak enough to crack that easily was not good. I remember my baby gate taking a lot of abuse and the wood seeming MUCH stronger/harder than this one. I suspect this is pine or some lighter weight wood whereas the original gate we owned was a hardwood as it was also heavier. Overall if you need a hat for dog training for use in smaller spaces and doorways this probably works great. Since we purchased it for the larger hallway I wouldn’t recommend it. Go for one of the ones that have the door in the middle. We ended up ordering one of those to replace this.

I never write reviews any more, and a product doesn’t deserve five stars for doing what it states it will do. This product deserves five stars for what it doesn’t do. It requires absolutely no tools, no set up, no assembly. There are no directions that will be lost because it doesn’t have any. If you can read (if you can’t, congratulations! You are the ideal American voter!) you can set this up in a few minutes or less. I will say as a fat guy who is 5’9” on a good day, it’s slightly difficult to step over, but fully succeeds in its objective: preventing my German Shepherd from committing homicide on my cats. Or maybe the other way round. Most cats awake every day and choose violence.

This gate looked nice at first, but the quality is extremely disappointing for the price. The frame feels flimsy and unstable, and the arm attachments are already falling apart after less than a month of use. I don’t even open and close it often, so there’s really no excuse for it wearing down this quickly. For something marketed as a pet gate, I expected it to be much sturdier and more durable. Definitely not worth the money.

Great for my cat and works well for small pets.

I ordered four different gates, each one had an issue, bars that my kitten could squeeze through, gates that required installation and damage to my walls, adhesive strips that evidently pull off drywall. Then this gate. I know the reviews suggest it is flimsy, but I don't find it to be that way. I think it is ideal for a small to medium sized dog. Perhaps a large dog could do some damage to the gate. The key I found is to find a tight fit and with the graduated slots it was easy to find that perfect solid fit. Also, it is very portable, not heavy to remove like metal gates. I really like it, it's a winner for me!

I got what I expected, but would love if it had a few more features. I am using a movable gate, because I have to move it quite often. Two things would make this product better. First a gate within it to save having to move it at all, but I understand this would price it out of the market, so I suggest a more sturdy/stable way to set the position whether opened or closed. It often feels like I need three hands to get it back in position, reset the position and then lock it down again.

Perfect for my needs. Connects in seconds and doesn’t mark the walls.

We liked this product because of its durability. We are using it on our deck to keep the cats from wandering off. So far it's been. Rey effective.
