A must have!
Just took a trip to India. This book contains all the essentials needed to plan and prepare to get the most of your visit. Pictures and illustrations are wonderfully informative. Get one before your trip and then take it with you. I've used DK travel guides for years - they've always been a trusted and reliable source of information on my journeys.

Beautiful Guide Needs Updating
This is an excellent guide with one exception. They need to update it. For example they did not include several incredible temples, mosques, and areas that our guides took us to see. Also they recommend riding an elephant which India is phasing out due to cruelty to the animals.

I STARTED READING THIS BOOK . I FOUND OUT THERE ARE SEVERAL MORE PLACES TO VISIT WHICH ARE VERY HISTORICAL AND INTERESTING. I LOVE TO TRAVEL AND LEARN THE HISTORY AND EVERYTHING I COULD LEARN ABOUT EACH COUNTRY I VISITED. THIS IS THE LAST OF THE 7 WONDERS OF THE WORLD TRAVELLED. VERY WELL DONE... YOU'VE GOT TO BACK FROM PAGE TO PAGE IF YOU WANT TO KNOW DETAILED AND CONNECTED INFO FROM THE BOOK. PICTURES ARE CLEAR THAT YOU WILL APPRECIATE EACH PLACES FEATURED.

Detailed, visual, informative
My wife and I are going on a 5 day visit just to these 3 cities so this is the perfect book to make what must be well planned because our time is short. The book gives us a visual presentation which will help us choose an agenda where we know we must miss a lot of great places. Very good!

Love this travel guide. These are the exact 3 cities I am visiting on a guided tour so i felt lucky to find this title. Iโm a pretty visual person and this book has TONS of photos! Best purchase Iโve made for this entire journey. After reading this book Iโm totally excited for this trip!

The best guide books are DK all over the world
Told me everything I wanted to know in these areas. Smaller and lighter than the big India DK book. DK is all I buy if they make a guide for the area I'm in. Probably have 20 or 30 by now. Pictures, descriptions, tram stop info, website reference, phone numbers and opening hours are all here

Warning! Outdated and misleading
Warning! This book is outdated and doesnโt capture the reality of visiting India today. Many photos and descriptions are misleading and you are bound to be disappointed. For example, the Old Delhi shopping area is a disaster while the book presents it as a great bazaar.

Good book - good info - good pics
purchased this book for a trip to delhi - good overview - good over-all info about the country and city - good travel size. I would recommend this book -(and this seller) but also book a in-person guide in Delhi - it is a very big city! The book helped us narrow down and communicate to our guide what we wanted to see, on our day trip.

Got daily use in India
These are great books and have used them before, so knew that it would help with the trip to northern India. What a wonderful place and great info in the book!!!
