The Bible Recap: A One-Year Guide to Reading and Understanding the Entire Bible Review: The BEST Bible Study companion - I wish i could give 10 STARS!!!!! I LOVE the bible recap and love the app (through the BIBLE APP) but I wanted to start my day not with a screen, and so I ordered this book and I'm THRILLED! I love that I can highlight, and underline. I can bring this on trips, keep on my nightstand, its a nice size, and very durable. This book is the best Bible study companion I have ever found that makes God's word COME ALIVE! This program is absolutely fantastic and it also makes a great gift for people wanting to read through the Bible and actually STUDY and GO DEEPER with God's word, and not just check something off the list. Cannot recommend this enough - you will be so blessed! I have been a believer for 35 years - and I truly learn something NEW everyday I read this. Praise God that His word is "alive and active" and penetrating hearts to this day. Tara Leigh Cobble is a gifted teacher and author and you will LOVE this study if you want to go deeper in God's word. Great Christmas gift to start in the new year. Review: High quality and very interesting. - This is a very helpful recap guide for one-year study to reading the Bible.

A beautiful companion to the Word, but read Revelation for yourself
I want to start this review by saying this: I'm thankful for this book. Over the last six months, I read the entire Bible cover to cover for the first time in my life and this book helped me stay on track, stay engaged, and stay hungry for truth. It made tough chapters easier to follow. It helped me see patterns, connects dots, and reflect deeper. In a lot of ways, it helped the Lord reshape my heart, mind, and understanding. For that, I'm deeply grateful. It's written in a warm, structured, and often even fun way. The daily recaps make you feel like you're walking through the Bible with a friend who knows her stuff and wants you to fall in love with God's Word. That matters. She's clearly done a wonderful thing here, and I don't take that lightly. That said, I'm writing this with a word of caution, not to slander or discredit her, but to help others who are genuinely trying grow closer to God. A few things to watch out for: 1. On certain teachings about men and women There were moments, especially in the New Testament letters, like when Paul talks about roles of men and women, where her tone felt like she was trying to explain away or soften what was written. Almost like she was flirting with God's Word through modern sensitivity. I get that these topics can be uncomfortable, but we don't get to edit Scripture for the sake of palatability. God's design is intentional even when it challenges our culture or preferences. Truth should make us wrestle, not retreat. 2. Revelation... she dropped the ball This is where I really struggled. After such a powerful journey through the whole Bible, the last few chapters, specifically Revelation 12-22, felt watered down and almost sanitized. Where Scripture speaks clearly, she introduced soft "could mean this, could mean that" interpretations. Things that should've been thunder were served like clouds. Revelation is not a playground of theories. It's a prophetic book with real warnings, real judgements, and eternal stakes. When the antichrist, the mark of the beast, the fall of Babylon, and the return of Christ are handled with ambiguity, it dulls the urgency and muffles the roar of God's final Word to His people. Let's not forget, John explicitly warns us not to add to or take away from this scroll. That's not a minor footnote. That's sacred ground. As someone who now sees how vital Revelation is to the whole biblical story, I can't ignore that the ending of this book didn't match the weight of the message. Bottom line: This book can be a beautiful companion for your Bible reading journey, but do not substitute it for the Word itself. Test everything. Read slowly. Pray often. And especially when you get to Revelation, read it with open eyes, a bold heart, and no filter. I thank the author for her hard work and for helping me grow. I'll always be grateful for the structure and clarity she brought to the first 65 books. But if you're hungry for Truth with a capital T, don't stop at her words... press into His.
