I placed these on doorways and table legs to help him find his way around. It helped a little, but he still bumped into the doors sometimes. The scent lasted a long time. I think part of the problem was that he went blind, then I introduced these new scents and he didn't really associate the scents with the object where it was placed. It probably would have been better if I could have placed these on the doors before he went completely blind so he could make the connection with the scent and the door, then use that connection after he went blind. But these did help for a few months. I did notice on several occasions that that thought he was going to bump his head on a door or table, but then turned away at the last second because he picked up on the scent of the marker. He ended up having cataract surgery at Virginia Tech and now he can see again! :-) ### ⭐ Didn't work with our dog! *by K***M on March 8, 2015* Our dog has been blind for almost a year now. We put them on all the obstacles in our home and after about a month he'll still run right into them. I laid one on the counter to see if they still had a scent and it still has a bit of a smell but not much. I'm very disappointed by these. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very happy to have this BEFORE she looses her sight *by L***N on December 4, 2015* My female cattle dog still has her sight but it is failing. We've placed these around the house and on furniture/obstacles that she sometimes bumps into and they are definitely doing their job. Even before placing them around the house, she was all over the package, interested in the smells and nearly climbed over me to get to them to do some closer investigation. Very happy to have this BEFORE she looses her sight.
